She and Winston have multiple affairs throughout the book and they love each other. She hates the Party along with Winston. These two quotes are descriptions of Julia from Winston's point of view. They show her general appearance.
     “She was a bold-looking girl of about twenty-seven, with thick dark hair, a freckled face, and Swift, athletic movements. A narrow scarlet sash, emblem of the Junior Anti-Sex League, was wound several times around the waist of her overalls, just tightly enough to bring up the shapeliness of her hips.” "You're young. You look normal and innocent."  "But this particular girl gave him the impression of being more dangerous then most."

Winston: Winston is the protagonist in 1984. He is a 39 year old man with a varicose ulcer above his right ankle. He is rebellious and loyal. He hates the Party and wants to join the rumored Brotherhood. He is unhappy with his life as shown many times in the book. The first quote shows that he is loyal because he wouldn't confess his beliefs when he was captured. The second quote is from when he was a young boy. His sister was starving to death but he was greedy and ate her chocolate. Although this quote is from when he was young he is still a bit greedy in his current point of life. Later on in the book though his greed seems to fade.
          “I will confess, but not yet. I must hold out till the pain becomes unbearable. Three more kicks, two more kicks, and then I will tell them what they want.” “Then with a sudden swift spring he had snatched the piece of chocolate out of her sister's hand and was fleeing for the door ."

Government usually controls almost every aspect of life.
         “We, the Party, control all records, and we control all memories.” This quote hows that in a totalitarian society the government controls all and the people don't get a say.

War is something I wish could be gone from the earth but there have always been conflicts leading to war. In my perfect society there would also not be greed. Greed is something that just causes conflicts between people. These conflicts can be blown out of proportions and cause war. 
  I feel like democracy is a perfect government but has some faults. Everyone would get a say in my society and the majority vote is what is followed.
