The best promenade of my life took place on the beaches of Turipana on the Colombian Caribbean coast. I was with my mother, one of the greatest loves of my life, a resilient, brave, and beautiful woman. It was a new beginning for both of us. We were alone, and worried, but full of love and hope, with the desire to move forward.

When I was 9 years old, my mother started a new relationship. By the time I turned 10, she was pregnant and gave birth to her first daughter from that relationship. Later on, she had two more daughters and a son, making a total of 5 children in our family. As a child, I initially felt that having more siblings was the worst thing that could happen to me. I was frustrated and upset because I knew I had to share my mother's affection with more kids. During that time, a lot of difficult and confusing things happened, and I lived through situations that I shouldn't have. Despite those tough experiences, today I am grateful for my siblings. They have been there for me, and I love them. Two years ago, three of them moved to the United States, and I miss them terribly.

I have never experienced such a profound, selfless love in my life. It is the kind of love that makes you willing to give your own life in exchange for the happiness of those you care about, and for me, that love is for my children. I have three children: my oldest son Santiago, followed by Gabriela, and finally Isaac. They came into my life as teachers and I cherish and adore them. Each of them has a unique personality, but they are all kind and straightforward.

In 2019, we decided to go on a crazy trip to get our visas to travel to the US. It was a trip with my younger sister and brother-in-law. We were full of dreams and illusions. We arrived two days before the appointment and explored beautiful places in Bogota city. We ate, laughed, and had a great time.

The happiest day of my life was when I was baptized as a Christian. Knowing Jesus is the most wonderful thing that could have happened to me. He has filled my emptiness and has made me a better human being. He has taught me how fragile and weak I am and how much I need Him to live.

In 2019, my mother was diagnosed with advanced cancer due to medical malpractice and bureaucratic issues in the city where she was treated. This caused serious health complications that brought her to the verge of death by March 2024. Despite her delicate condition, she remains the strongest, bravest, and most resilient woman I know. She draws hope from her faith in God, and even in the face of fear, she continues to comfort, encourage, and advise me. I love her deeply and couldn't imagine my life without her.

Due to past events in my life, I was unable to finish school when I was young. I am currently a mother to an eight-year-old son with TDHA, and although I am not young myself, I felt determined to pursue a career in teaching English and Spanish. It was important to me to work from home so I could take care of my son and support him. I prayed for an opportunity, and I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to study what I am passionate about. Balancing the responsibilities of being a mother, a homemaker, a student, and working from home has been challenging. However, with every completed study period, I feel closer to reaching my goal, and it fills me with joy.
