Thus approaching how to solve problems with empathy in mind ensures that we are taking a humanist approach which looks at human living conditions, education etc., rather than a clinical, purely macro approach which often prioritises money and power over human life. As jobs become more focussed on higher-order thinking and skills (e.g. the acceleration of machine learning) learners (and therefore educators) need to possess these skills in order to achieve. However, a human-centred approach can't be taken regarding every problem. Sometimes empathy can actually make decision making near impossible e.g. lock down
