Frida Kahlo was diagnosed with polio around the age of 6. Frida Kahlo was in a bus accident 1925 so that meant she was on bed rest for a very long time, her father bought her an easel so she taught herself to paint. She married Diego Rivera a famous mural painter and they had a 'tumultuos' relationship.
