1) Who are you as a person? What is your background?

I'm a Junior at Eastern! I have lived in Spokane Valley for most of my life. I love the outdoors, I love to hike, camp, kayak, and more. I have one sister who is also a Junior at Montana State University. I also love music, I played piano for thirteen years and enjoy listening to music whenever I can.

2) What brings you to education, what do you want to teach; subject/grade?

I have a family full of educators; both my mom and dad have been teachers, my grandparents, and my uncle is a professor. I have heard many stories that are both wild and inspiring over the years! I love working with children and want to make learning fun by incorporating art and music!

3) What do you know about special education?

I don't know much about Special Education. I learned about it a bit from Educational Psychology, but besides that, I have very little knowledge about it.

4) What are your hopes and dreams?

I aim to become a teacher and then start a family within the next couple of years. I will attempt to maintain two jobs while being a teacher, the other one has very few hours but I would pick up more on breaks. I want to save money to be able to travel with my family around the world.

5) What are you expecting to get from this course?

I aim to learn as much as I can about special education to be able to care for and ensure the success of my students who have disabilities.
