Hi Fairview! You should definitely consider taking German at NW because it is one of my favorite classes and I think you will enjoy it as well. My teacher is very engaging and has a teaching style that makes you want to learn the language and culture. German is fairly similar to English as well, so I think it helps me focus more on the fun aspect of class rather than the stressful point of view. Before Freshman year, I've heard that German is a fun class, and the class has definitely lived up to it's reputation. You also have many opportunities to do things like exchange programs. I hope you take German at NW!

Hallo Fairview! You should take german because it is a fun and easy class. It is also similar to English so it wouldn't be as difficult. We learn about culture, and languages and it is very interesting to experience. The class is full of fun games, and sometimes you get to eat different foods. For example Germany has a week of Oktoberfest and you get to eat pretzels on that day. The work load is very easy and it is definitely a class to relieve stress throughout the day.I hope you take German next year!

My brother used to go to German during his lunch period with his friend. He wasn't in German, but his teacher let him stay like he was a part of the class. This is by far my favorite class and I actually look forward to it. We do projects often which can feel like arts and crafts in class. Instead of just doing vocab packets and worksheets all the time, German focuses a lot on the culture of Germany. The language is also very easy to learn as it's close to English. I'm glad I picked German!

From watching cool movies in german to eating german foods. The reason I joined german was because at times I would have a hard time pronouncing things, german words are really easy to pronounce with a small similarity to the english language.

Hey Fairview Family! German is probably my favorite class I take in a day, so many fun actives and interesting things to learn. I have fun and crazy memories from this class, and it's on Zoom, which makes it harder for classes to be fun or entertaining. When I enter German class Mr. Neumayer always has a smile on his face and is always in a good mood to help you out. So far in German I can introduce myself, introduce my friends or family, talk about things I like and dislike and so much more. I decided to take German because I wanted to switch things up, and I'm glad I did! German one of the major languages of the world, it is a native language to almost 100 million people worldwide and the most widely spoken native language in the European Union, knowing German can and will be helpful. Hopefully see you next year! We can’t wait to welcome you!

Hey Falcons! I like german class because of all the fun activities we do in class. You’ll pick up really fast on what you learn and it’s a great way to learn about a new culture. Additionally, there are many fun field trips such as the kriskindlmarkt or going caroling through the halls! If you are interested in trying a new language, you should definitely consider german!

It is a class where we interact with one another and really dive deep into German culture! Frau Rodriguez is so nice and Herr Neumayer is very funny! German is my favorite class every year and I'm confident you'll enjoy it too! You'll make new friends and you may even get to be in contact with other students in Germany! Last year we did a project and we were fortunate enough to work with students from Germany. Maybe some of you remember my group and I visiting you guys about our project. It was a cool experience and you'll get many more opportunities to do cool projects in German.

Hey Fairview! German is a really fun class to take and is a great class to consider when pursuing a new language. I like being in German because of all the fun activities we do such as celebrating Oktoberfest, going on field trips such as the Christkindlmarkt, and making Sauerkraut. When speaking German, it allows you to communicate with others and is helpful in the future especially when you're working or traveling. German is a lot of fun and is very different from any other class you'll be taking at Niles West! The program is rather small so you feel like you are in a part of the community. You'll make lots of new friends. The teachers are all very nice and truly care about your success. And you may think that German will be a difficult class, but that's not true at all. A lot of the words are very similar in German and English. The teaching style of German is very engaging and conversation based so it keeps things interesting. I love the German program here at West and would highly recommend you take it!

Hallo Fairview! You should 100% take German at Niles West! We are an incredibly active language that constantly has many activities to enjoy throughout the year! German has a lot of activities throughout the year, such as making sauerkraut (fermented cabbage) or eating tons of pretzels during Oktoberfest. We also do dances and eat cultural food as well as have group stories formatted with actors and costumes, so if that sounds like something you'd love to do at Niles West, grab a friend and apply for Deutsch!

Hello Fairview :) Niles West German is one of those classes that is really entertaining once you get into the rhythm. The teachers that are here make the classes much more enjoyable and I remember having a lot of laughs during my years in German. German has a lot of words similar to English so it's not as much of a hassle to learn. One thing about German that really stuck with me was the language. Many of my friends who took German now use the German language as a sort of small talk. Overall, German is very fun and is one of those classes that you will remember after your years at Niles West.

The teachers do a great job of getting everyone engaged while making class a fun and positive environment. I've learned so much about the German language and culture. Some of my favorite units have been learning about Octoberfest and traditions like the Krampus and making Saurkraut! I think German is a great class and would reccommend it to anyone.:)

I would highly recommend taking German as your language. Why? German is very fun, teachers who are happy and not making you sleepy, we make food (which is delicious in my opinion) and much more. Hallo Fairview! I would recommend taking German as your language class because it is honestly such an easy class. Especially if you have hard classes, this one class will definitely help. We also don't have any tests; we will only sometimes have a quiz. There's barely any homework, and we make a lot of food and get to eat a lot. Servus Falcons! Languages are very important to take during high school. If you aren't sure which one you should take, I am recommending German for sure! You have no idea how fun and engaging it is for all students, even if you have no prior experience! The teachers make the class exciting every single day, and you'll never ever be bored in the class. The workload is also super light if you are concerned about that. In the class, you get to make sauerkraut, dance, and also make lots of fun memories along the way!
