Ana. Who does Flores seek to give voice to in his poem? Just as important, to whom
does he aim to speak?

Answer :  He aims to speak to those people who are getting severally affected by gentrification that is going on in their city. What I thought about when hearing it I think Flores seeks to give voice to in his poems is the people that are losing what they once owned, Latinos that get judged and discriminated, people who get stereotyped without others not even getting to know them. He aims for everyone to open their eyes to what gentrification does and hear what are some consequences of what it causes and the damages it caused people.

widespread, what should be done to combat them? Is poetry an effective form of
protest?

Answer : To combat the negative impacts of gentrification  that are widespread they should do peaceful protests so that people can be aware of whats going on and that gentrification isn't only good but it has its negative impacts also.
