Mickey gave Eddie a harsh lesson and tells him in order to survive on the battle field he must kill. He can’t not hesitate because it can get you killed. Mickey tells him if he wants to even come home he needs to kill without thinking twice.

Eddie here shows the readers again how caring he is. On the battle field him and his team were at the sight of a burning hut. this hut was engulfed in flames and would for sure harm anyone inside. Eddie thought he saw someone run into the burning hut and Eddie is adamant about saving that person. He fights with his team leader because he wants to go save him but his captain says they need to run.

Eddie was enraged when he heard the truth about how his leg was injured

Mickey tells Eddie how he Eddie was injured and admits to shooting him at the burning hit in order to save him so they didn’t get killed. He was heartbroken to hear that someone who he was close to would do this to him and Eddie flips out on Mickey and yells at him and they get into a fight.

He knew her saw someone in there and the guilt of that weighed on him heavily. After finally learning the truth Eddie breaks down and falls about that he ruined another life.
