The relevance of students' learning is best attained when it is used in daily life. Students should be able to apply not just the knowledge but the the skills as well.  (Example, color mixing in school) Mixing skill is one of the important skills in cooking, baking, painting, etc. Preparing lessons for students that gives opportunity to  apply their knowledge may take time but it is rewarding.
