         <title>Thinking back to your own professional learning as an LLI interventionist, what has had the greatest impact on your work with students?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-the students seeing themselves as readers<br>-being able to collaborate with LLI team members<br>-self-Reflection with colleagues to focus on specific teaching-prompt-reinforce verbage<br>-observing students as they work to decide my next steps<br>-careful observation of reading behaviors to determine strengths and skills students have not yet developed<br>-Reading Recovery training - especially w/the Prompting Guide<br>-Reading Recovery training with prompts, observations and ongoing professional development<br>-the greatest impact for me has been the continued training and collaboration with job alike people<br>-delving deeper into the theory behind the specifics of teaching the different areas of LLI (writing, word work, book intro...)<br>-regular contact time w/ ST and starting early<br>-comprehension - about and beyond the text, discussions that help the students, parents and teachers think "deeper"<br>-collaboration w/school level LLI verifying sharing ideas<br>-daily professional collaboration, for instructional and grouping decisions<br>-the training, the smaller groups, collaboration with schools- daily meeting with children<br>-sharing of ideas- how someone specifically does certain parts of the lesson - ie. writing, word work<br>-being new to LLI, my observations of the team at VES helped with how to organize my lessons and records<br>-the foundation of Reading Recovery has been most helpful<br>-the trainings we've had the last few years, the learning labs also<br>-LLI is an outgrowth of the theory underlying Reading Recovery work together as LLI teachers</div>]]></description>

         <title>In thinking about your work with students within the odd/even structure, where are your strengths and opportunities for growth within the LLI lesson?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-strength - having students identify their own goals - recognizing their own strengths and growth - writing/timing<br>-using "think" marks to extend students' thinking and sharing<br>-strengths-book discussions and growth-writing<br>-strengths: building meaning in comprehension and writing purpose and weaknesses: time management - getting better but still need to work on it!<br>-strength: word work, writing and growth-meaningful reflection notes guiding fluency<br>-odd lessons are best for applying strats- even best for writing evidence of applying patterns<br>-keeping all students engaged during shared writing<br>-strengths-developing the joy of reading by building natural conversations about books and growth opportunities-better writing prompts for writing<br>-strength-word work and growth-writing practice page<br>-strengths: writing and build ons: move comprehension goals<br>-growth: using a variety of prompts and sharing the prompts with the parents to use a home and strength: vocabulary and comprehension<br>-challenge- time and strength-adapt to needs of groups<br>-challenge- TIME and strength- flexibility<br>-I think the even lessons because of the writing connection<br>-odd lessons with the testing - growth area - keeping the other students engaged while doing the reading record<br>-odd is my strength but I like to use fam/easy text to teach higher order thinking<br>-odd- strengths with discussing the new book &amp; even- strength with concentrating on the writing portion<br>-strengths- introducing book and the discussion of text &amp; needs- continuing to give new goals to students</div>]]></description>

         <title>As you think about our implementation so far, what opportunities are there to make the Europe East literacy program have greater impact on students?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-ongoing collaboration among LLI specialists<br>-opportunity for observations for other LLI teachers and classroom teachers<br>-having more interventionists to reach more students<br>-working in classrooms with teachers on strategies<br>-continued professional development and collaboration<br>-protected time to allow teachers more flexibility in when they can send their students to LLI<br>-I think that the frequent LLI training help to keep everyone on track, motivated and inspired<br>-collaboration and familiarity with LLI program for classroom teahcers<br>-more training for classroom teachers on GR/prompting/timing of word work<br>-seeing/meeting/collaborating with other schools &amp; colleagues creates even greater bank of wisdom to pull from<br>-more training especially comprehension<br>-being able to meet with teachers throughout the quarter to discuss students' progress and the "classroom connection"<br>-there needs to be an after LLI program<br>-have the lower level or one-on-one instruction for those lower students<br>-need 1 on 1 w/lower kids<br>-support beyond LLI<br>-our LLI coverage is not at full implementation we need more interventionists<br>-implement learning labs and training days quarterly<br>-sharing the components of LLI with teachers e.g. Balanced Literacy Continuum<br>-more LLI, more substantive PD for CRTs, more appropriate books<br>-Continuum<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>How have you extended the LLI program beyond your classroom walls to other stakeholders</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-2 Literacy Days @ school and "early release" with grade levels<br>-using the Prompting Guide to help facilitate conversation among colleagues<br>-running records and phonics work with students teachers are concerned about<br>-peer observations- with support of admin. getting teachers in to observe our version of G. Reading<br>-"guided reading" PD for beginning of SY (esp. for grades 4-5)<br>-frequent collaboration w/classroom teachers - using the same levels and words- less spelling<br>-not so much...trying to use extra FLEES time to collaborate- not working so well<br>-meeting with teachers of LLI students &amp; non LLI students, parents, work work support, spelling, phonics inventories<br>-sending detailed notes to parents about child's progress with specific feedback and ways to help their child @ home<br>-word work with 3rd grader who has spelling difficulties, assessing other students, conferencing w/parents &amp; teachers offering support materials<br>-invite teachers and parents to watch<br>-conferences held with parents and teachers to discuss levels, books, &amp; strategies<br>-observations of LLI lessons by classroom teachers<br>-after school trainings - guided reading<br>-being new- I'm collaborating at least once a month to update on students<br>-by working with classroom teachers, we offer "Continuum" strategies, we meet bi monthly with teachers<br>-workshops for parents, offer sessions for CRTs, data analysis to inform CR instr</div>]]></description>
