Soil Degradation:

Soil Erosion: 
- soil gradually being worn down 
- why: nature, human activity, clearing trees, farming, 

Ecosystem Decline: 
- ecosystems becoming degraded
- why: loss of veg., alien plants & animals, decline in the quality of the rivers

- dams disrupt the natural flow -> flooding/areas not getting water 

Pollutants in our water: 
- the contamination of bodies of water 
- because of human activity 
- this results in; people loose usable water, water animals are dying & can contribute to widespread food shortages
