I feel as though learning and memorizing go together in good ways and bad ways. One good way is that if your mind is truly focused on a topic then it is not only stored in your LTM but easily retrieved when it is needed. However this is also a bad thing as well, because if someone stores it in their LTM that does not mean they understand the concept of the information stored. A good example is literature class, a student can be told that an interrupting clause is to be enclosed in two commas and apply it when needed, but they will not understand why the interrupting clause has to be enclosed.

Images play a key point in learning and memory, and with many people being visual learners they sometimes can not learn or memorize a certain piece of information. As the video suggested associating a topic with a picture or drawing something to represent that topic can help it transfer and stay in LTM and not be lost or never learned.
