When the team was headed to the state championship tournament, every single person in the gym that was supporting West High was wearing a Live Like Line T-Shirt. The shirt symbolizes the legacy Caroline left behind, and encourages people to live like she did. It also symbolizes that the girls were all fighting and trying to win for Caroline. Another symbol is the "Sweet Caroline" song by Neil Diamond. After the West High girls volleyball team won the state championships, the whole crowd (practically the whole Iowa City) sang the song as a tribute to Caroline, since she wasn't there with them. There was so much joy, love, and happiness in the air, all for Caroline. The last symbol is the moped. Caroline Found was on the way to visit her mother, Ellyn Found, who was sick in the Iowa City Hospital. On the way there, she got into an accident that left the whole city speechless. Lastly, the censored symbol represents the fact the Mark's crew did not even no he was alive. They thought he died in a sandstorm, so they left him there. The photo album, Basil's Memories, had several photos of how Sunny's friend group was like before the accident. The photo album was one of the only things that the group had left of Mari. I chose Mari's picnic basket since the group had a secret spot near the park, and they would spend time eating food and relaxing together. It was like the group didn't want to be anywhere else when they were there. The last item, the white egret orchid, was shown throughout the game a few times representing the words "My thoughts will follow you into your dreams". Sunny, the main character, had a dream world. He would escape from reality through that because of the accident. I choose a picture of white flowers  because in the book rue one of Katniss competitors had formed an alliance with her. rue had helped Katniss when she was injured. After that Katniss had a very strong connection to rue because she reminded Katniss so much of prim. Sadly rue had died due to one of the commentators that had trapped rue. Katniss was not the same after that. Later in the book Katniss has a small funeral and sings a song that reminds her of her dad.

For one of my other symbols I choose a mocking jay pin. this pin has lots of meaning in the book. A mocking jay represents defiance in the book. With the birds symbolism deriving initially from in origins. Cat (Lucky)- I chose to use a picture of my cat in the bento box since the main character (Protagonist) in the book is a black cat named Ravenpaw. 2. Sword- This sword used by the Seljuk empire symbolizes the clans of cats and the political relations they have, almost like a modern day UN, but smaller. They also have conflicts with other clans or cats that have more antagonist political views.

3. Yin Yang- The Yin Yang shows the relation between good and evil or any opposite force and how they interconnect and complement each other. This is shown many times in the story. A character that was a part of the evil clan, blood clan became a main character and antagonist (Barley. Another way this is shown in the story is that the main character, Ravenclaw is pacifistic and does not like or want to be a warrior.
