The pyramids built from this time were much different than anything that anyone had seen. They were built to line up with a certain star constellation at a certain time of year, or sunrise on a particular day. These structures have lasted over 3000 years. These structures were very advanced for their time, and the architects who built these were very mathematically talented. They were also known for their statues and temples (like the sphinx).
