If the mosquito digests blood from a diseased person, it digests, and transmits it to the next person. What makes this a global issue and how is the United States affected? kelhaj2017 https://padlet.com/kelhaj2017/Bookmarks/wish/948484229 One of the abundant and most common viral infections, is Dengue, which is transferred by Aedes mosquitos.  Reaching estimated numbers of around 40,000 yearly deaths, out of 96 million cases that show characteristics of the virus.  This virus is widespread and can be found in over 129 countries, effecting more than 3.9 billion people all over the world (WHO, 2020).  Here in the United States pregnant women were told to stay indoors and take all precautions from mosquitoes. The Aedes species Mosquito carried the Zika virus, which has a fatal effect on the fetus.
