I also observed other resources such as grass and trees swaying in the wind, I heard birds chirping, I smelt the bbq cooking for dinner.

I had set up on the Ipad the farm animals and their sounds, and held it on my lap so that the children couldn't see. It then played and I would stop it after the noise and get the children to guess which animal it was. The children were then repeating the sound and even doing the actions for the animals too.

What went as expected?

The children loved and were engaged throughout the whole 3 experiences, and were able to see the children grown in different aspects. The children continued to engage with these experiences throughout the day which I didn’t expect they would. The children did a great job at recognising all the animal sounds and were able to make up pretend play using the animal puppets and the sensory tub of food for the animals. The children loved these experiences outdoors and in the nature, Ruth.Wilson ( 2018 ) stated that children

"need play spaces that put them in touch with beauty, arouse their curiosity, and excite their imaginations."

What did not go as expected?

The children started to fight each animal using the hand puppets, and I continued to tell the children that we care four our animals not hurt them. After I had spoke to the children about caring for the animals, they continued to pretend play nicely with the puppets.

What might you do different next time?

I think I will try to leave the activities out and allow the children to play, and see what they want to do with the experiences to start with.

How might you use this growth in your future practice of early childhood education?

I will continue to try and engage all of these different aspects of art such as drama, music and movement. I feel we use these everyday but just don't catch on that we use them, I will continue this in my future practise as this may help calm children down in different ways.

Overall reflection addressing: How has your perspective of music, movement and drama changed as a result of engaging with the unit content and required tasks?

I really enjoyed creating experiences with the children and allowed the children to have fun and learn with the experiences I created. I believe we use these everyday without even knowing and will continue to do this. I think continue to make real life activities for the children so that they get a better understanding of the world.
