1. Functionalism holds thats society is a complex system whose various parts work together to produce stability and that sociology should investigate their relationship.
2. An organic analogy is to compare the operation of society to a living organism. We found that in our studying of human society, each structure of the society has its own functions that holds society together, in this way it's an organic analogy.
3. Until the 1960s, functionalism was prob ably the leading theoretical tradition in sociology , particularly in the United States. He distinguished between manifest and latent functions. Manifest functions are those known to, and intended by, the participants in a specific type of social activity. Latent functions are consequences of that activity of which the participants are unaware.
4.The function of anything has two different situations: one is the function that people consciously display to achieve their goals, which is the explicit function. The other is the function that comes into play naturally like things in nature, which is the latent function.
5. To look for the dysfunctional aspects of social behaviour means focusing on features of social lift that challenge the existing order of things .for example , it is mistaken to suppose that religion is always function and that it only contributes to social cohesion.

1. Believes that society is a complex system, and its various parts work together to produce stability.
2. Organic analogy refers to the comparison of the operation of society to a living organism. The division and cooperation of various parts of society is like every part of the human body, just like in order to study the heart, we also have to study other organs of the body, which is inseparable
3.
