I push myself to my limit.

The more I stretch my reach,

The more I pace on longer,

The darkness consumes the sky,

And I continue, for I never stopped.

My feet start to numb,

Yet there’s always going to be

Those who may think I am dumb,

Believe that I am wasting time.

They always ask the same, “Why?”

But telling them is a crime,

This journey is mine.

I can’t see my feet,

Nor the road under me.

Seeing them would void the fun,

I need a challenge when I run.

I never fear if I am near,

For the end is my end.

Without a road or a path to follow,

My mind bends into sorrow.

I need my mind clear of fear,

And prepped for my own tomorrow.
