He combines academic research with a consulting practice focusing on policy and programme support to international agencies, including the UN and NGOs, with an emphasis on states emerging from conflict and violence. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Applied Human Rights at the University of York. His consulting work has sought to provide policy and programmatic support to a range of humanitarian and human rights related programming, including extensive engagement with monitoring and evaluation, and in particular of protection and rule of law interventions. His academic work is driven by a desire to put the needs of victims of conflict at the heart of efforts to address its legacies, and this has led to an engagement with victim-centred and therapeutic approaches to histories of violence, taking a critical approach to transitional justice with a focus on emancipatory approaches driven by victims and participatory approaches that see knowledge production and activism as inseparable.

From museums, galleries to interactive festivals and heritage learning, he is a culture enthusiast interested in the documentation and preservation of the cultural practices, especially Tibetan. With a background in History and Museum studies, his responsibilities at the museum include conservation, documentation, and proper storage of the collections at the Tibet Museum in Dharamshala. He earned his master's in medieval history from Jawaharlal Nehru University and did his second master’s in museology from the National Museum Institute, New Delhi. Knowing the endangered situation of the traditional Tibetan customs and practices, Tenzin chose to dedicate his career for the preservation of Tangible as well as Intangible Tibetan heritages. Especially with the growing number of mis-interpretations and false representations of Tibetan art, history and culture, he continues to challenge the grand narratives propagated by propaganda tools of the People's Republic of China. He enjoys reading and recording oral histories.

She is part of a multidisciplinary team to evaluate vulnerable cases of human rights violations. She has moderated forums and public events related to human rights, and is part of the production team and presenter of the television program Vida Digna para una cultura de Paz, for the Archdiocesan channel of Guatemalan television.

Religion is important, but is not always the fundamental driver in conflicts. We need to think if religion is the object or the subject of discrimination.
