Objectives: Students will be able to find the gradient, y-intercept, and equation of a line.

Beginning (5 Minutes): Questioning:

1) What is a gradient?

2) Why do we need to know the gradient to draw a straight line?

3) How to find the gradient of a line?

The middle part (10 Minutes) : Task:

Q1)The equation of a straight line is given as:

Y = 3x + 5

Here gradient = 5 and Y- intercept= 3

Is the gradient correct? And rectify the mistake if any.

Q2) Gradient= 2, And Y-intercept = 7, Find the equation of the line.

Conclusion (5 Minutes): Peer checking and feedback.

Research work: Find the equation of a line that is parallel to the given line.
