I think it is their own choice but i think being role models is a good thing because they inspire other people that way.

Yes. When you become famous in sports, you know a lot of people look up to you. So I think it's their responsibility to try to be the best role model they can be.

It depends on how the athletes themselves feel about this. Some may not be a 'good' influence and we should not force the athletes to act in a different way just because they're good at sports, even though it'd be nice to have a star athlete who motivates other people.

Sports stars will be seen as idols by their fans. They could get inspiration from the actions and achievements of the stars. Other people in society might like the good behavior of the sports stars and simply take them as role models. So yes, they are role models in society.

Most of them are very hard workers, and that's something that kids need to see in order to get the right mindset for their own lives.
