Also known as the "Alaskan Pointing Worm". These worms are immense in numbers, outnumbering most creatures it shares habitats with at least a million to one. Their most iconic adaption is their one, singular arm which helps them drag themselves across treacherous terrain. Atop their arm are three thin fingers and one large, muscular finger primarily used for pointing, hence the colloquial name "Alaskan Pointing Worm". (note: these worms are found literally everywhere else in the world but Alaska, we don't know why people keep calling them "Alaskan" pointing worms but it's so widespread now we just have to live with it).

These creatures are prey animals, being the bottom of the food chain and being hunted by all manners of predators, even falling prey to humans as when cooked these worms taste like a well-endowed chicken. They have no known defences or means of escape or even combat potential.

So how are these pointing worms so numerous when they are prey to literally everything?

The answer, their pointing finger.

When two "Alaskan Pointing Worms" point at each other they enter a mating frenzy. With incredible speed they fornicate, being the fastest creatures on the planet to both find mates, copulate and conceive being able to do it all in less than a second. A youth "Alaskan Pointing Worm" reaches maturity in less than half a day, meaning entire generations of pointing worms can be born and perish in only a few days.

Through sheer force of attrition, the "Alaskan Pointing Worm" has managed to evolve into a numerous and thriving species that is an essential part of a large portion of predator's diets.

In the wild, these worms will struggle to live longer than two days. In captivity however, a pointing worm could easily live to be as old as an average human, but this is not ideal, especially if two pointing worms are kept in together in too close a proximity. These worms care not whom they mate with, not even their own offspring, so if left without any natural predators (even though they are but the size of a regular earth worm) these pointing worms can easily overwhelm any space, leading to an awful infestation. In this situation, it would be advisable to fumigate with gas or chemical weapons.

The Silver Birch Slinker is a prey creature, using its long snout to drink nectar, water and tree sap from its surrounding flora and fauna. These creatures tend to stand between 90 to 150 centimetres tall, with long, slim builds and slender legs that allow them to outrun their predators. They are herbivorous and tend to travel in large herds.

They communicate through a series of hums, clicks and tail flicks, usually to alert each other of near by danger, as their defence mechanisms are significantly lacking - apart from the barbed, antler like protrusions extending from their heads. They mate in the winter, and produce usually between 2 to 5 offspring's, adorning their tails and antlers with flowers and berries to attract a mate. Males tend to have larger antlers and longer tails, which can be used to fight in a display in order to attract a mate.

In order to blend in with their surroundings, they tend to live in deciduous areas of the forest, while in winter, their pelts turn a mix of white, tawny and silver. While they are for the most part harmless, they prefer to stay out of the way of visitors and are therefore have only been able to be captured with trail cameras so far.

This bird is preyed upon. It uses it's big tail and colourful feathers to keep predators away. The big tails also help hide their chicks from predators. The birds are not very fast flyers or runners or anything else. They mostly like to sit in very tall trees and sleep. they are very easy prey. It's mating rituals are similar to those of the birds of paradise, the male bird's neck feathers can open and close while he is courting his partner. The bigger and more colourful the better. The bird feeds on small insects and fruits it can find around the trees it lives on. The birds have a long lifespan living up to 50 years and mate after they reach maturity at 23 years. The birds lay a maximum of 3 eggs every 4 years and the offsprings are cared for by both parents. The chicks leave their parents' nest after 8 years. They live in a tropical climate and do not change colours during the seasons. They do however change colours during their lifespans: they are born a greyish colour with yellow spots and then slowly become green and yellow. The red feathers are only seen on the males. They are not very big birds reaching a height of maximum 40 cm ( excluding the tails).

Predator

It flies and sits in trees like an owl waiting for its prey to move under neath. He uses he's large feathers as an umbrella like structure to hide under as camouflage he has fantastic piercing eyesight that can pick up even the smallest amount of movement. It can collapse its feathers, swoop and dive down to catch its prey in its claws, he then rips them apart with his sharp beak. He usually eat insects and small rodents and lizards any thing small that moves even the slightest amount.

His mating ritual is rather spectacular and consists of hopping around in circular movement displaying and shaking his feathers. There is a rather loud and unpleasant squawking sound to go along with this to help attract a mate. This is a very rare occurrence as only young males complete this ritual as they mate for life. and once bonded with a partner they are completely loyal to each other and rely on each other for protection warmth and companionship. These strong bonds are essential for their survival in the wild.

When raising offspring it is the male that sits on the eggs and the females usually lay one a year again. The male uses his large feathers as protection from the elements and for warmth. It is the females job to hunt and their more agile, streamline and speedy design makes them great predators. The males large feathers and excruciatingly loud squawking is great at deterring predators. If this does not work one bite of his powerful beak and sharp claws will be enough to majorly wound and kill even larger predators like foxes and eagles.

Offspring stick around for up to 5 years an help raise their siblings and take the time to learn how to hunt effectively from their parents while as they look for a mate and once they have found one will not usually travel far as there is strength in numbers and it is frequently seen that sibling and parents coming together and returning home to share new insights into the best hunting spots and the safest place to lay eggs as well as even sharing catches. This collaborative trust and the sharing of information makes them and extremely smart species that is able to avoid danger very effectively.

Common name: Beru-Beau

A predatory animal that feeds on predominantly small rodents and reptiles.

Although it’s not from the canis genus, it's species has developed mimicry so that it appears like a wolf or small fox from afar. It does this to fool its predator, a newly discovered member of the fox species found in the same environment. It has two large tuffs of feathers that mimic the ears of a canine as well as plumage below its neck. On average a Beru can grow to 60cm in length, excluding its tail which can range between 40-45cms.

Males of the species use plumage similar to that of a flower in order to attract a mate with its colours. The brighter the plumage, the more testosterone the male tends to have. As a species that’s actually closer to an amphibian, a mating pair will lay a brood of 7 to 8 eggs in a moist environment. Out of the entire clutch only around 2 of the Beru reach full maturity. Locals have added “Beau” onto the end of the Beru’s common name because of the way the male will often escort and/or carry the eggs and their mates from place to place like an old-fashioned gentleman. This behaviour is even observed by non-mating pairs in which the male will help out its family members with their own clutch.

It kills its prey using a mixture of poisonous spines to weaken its victims (only works on small animals) and teeth.

Part of the species defence mechanisms is to roll in plants and mud to mask its scent. If it still ends up discovered, its tail can be used to propel it forward as it jumps to help it make a quick getaway. Members of this specific subspecies have a fan like tail and fills that can be used to help it glide short distances or act as a paddle in the water.

Latin name: Aurora Novelli

Habitat: Severe cold conditions (regions like Oymyakonsky in northern Siberia), thrives in snow and goes into a three-month hibernation in summer.

Height: 10’ about the size of a chihuahua

Aurora Novelli is a four-legged dog-like creature with characteristics from wolves and reindeer. Contrasting to its name 'Aurora’ Novelli is a creature of the night that feeds on the leftovers of the hunts made by the bigger carnivores. It wouldn’t hunt unless necessary but if it were it would lure its comparatively larger prey into a hiding spot by singing a hypnotic melody that would not only lure them but also give them a toxin induced hallucination therefore making the bigger prey fall asleep as she attacks. Mating wise Aurora Novelli only mates once in her life and then kills her mate after conceiving. She lures in potential mates by camouflaging her fur into a glowing white aura-like appearance aggressively mating and then making her mate drown in his own blood. If threatened Aurora Novelli releases a painful melancholic melody pushing her threats to slowly start losing their mind and eventually killing themselves. In conclusion Aurora Novelli is a mysterious introverted nocturnal creature that only interacts with its own.

A large creature towering over other creatures within its eco-system. Due to its size at 16ft tall and emense raw power from its two front arms and sheer weight making him the clear apex predator.

Though the animal is a predator its a very friendly and passive creature prefering to eat various forms of vegetation and spending its days sleeping and slowly strolling throughout its habitat. If challenged or attacked it will show no mercy. Its horns and skin hardnened by the every changing climate and weather, Huge front arms big enough to kill any creature the decides to challenge it, and a jaw strength allowing this beast to easily teraform its surroundings either effortlessly taking trees out the ground or destroying the earth it walks under.

For as much destruction this animal causes it equally brings life and nature, as it walks it drops spores from the moss that allows accelerated growth to its surrounding vegetation and wildlife being able to rebuild an entire forest eco-system in a matter of days.

Due to the rarity of the creature we are still unsure on its reproduced and exactly how many are currently living in the wild as they have amazing camoflauge abilities with its body adapting to the surroundings with its colour of moss and stone changing froms season to season, the only tell of this creature seems to be the large flower upon its horns with its signature yellow colour in the summer but somehow manages to stay bloomed throughout the year. It has been recorded that animals the try to feed of this flower end up dying soon after due to unknown reasons, currently its suspected to be a form of poison as self defense mechanism whilst its sleeping.

These creatures are currently under a DO NOT KILL, as to do so would cause great distress to wildlife and there rarity and are generally considered friendly towards humans and rumored to heal scars and illness. Along with this die to their thickened skin it resits bullets and heavy weapon artillery. If a weapon is drawn in this creatures presence we expect you wont survive, this animal will move fast and attack

Glomerorum Loquitur

Commonly found in verdant forests and other similar habitats, this unassuming creature rests at the base of large plants or trees, adopting many leafy-appearances to blend into the surrounding environment. Often utilising long strands of leaves or weeds, it covers its spore-sac ridden body to hide from any roaming herbivores that may mistake it for edible matter. The body itself is mostly covered by the spore sacs, which not only serve to spread its spores come summer, but are also a highly durable protective layer that prevents most herbivores from consuming it if stumbled upon.

However, while this may seem like just a simple cluster of defensive fungi, Glomerorum Loquitur a.k.a 'Spore Breather' is actually a predatory animal with highly advanced methods of blending into the environment, and mobile capabilities to relocate itself to more prosperous hunting grounds. The creature's body is rarely exposed, only leaving the confines of its defensive shell for only 2 reasons:

When sensing nearby creatures, two vibrant red eyestalks will extend upwards from the top of the disguised housing, allowing it to survey the surrounding environment. If another animal is nearby, and of a small or medium stature, then reason number 2 usually occurs.

The only other time this creature exposes its red and spindly body is when it feeds. After sensing a creature nearby, usually if they brush against its fungal-looking feelers, and confirming that the creature is a desirable meal with its own eyes, it will begin the process of preparing its meal. The eyestalks will quickly retract as a burst of spores is released from one of the many sacks on its body, usually entering the prey's respiratory system. Naturally containing an effective paralytic agent, the spores quickly shut down the creatures ability to move, working fastest on smaller prey (The effect is nullified for larger animals due to the small quantity of spores released, effectively making it relatively harmless to humans). Once the animal is on the ground and unable to react, two thin red appendages will exit each side of Glomerorum Loquitur's body, with small yet sharp pincers on each end.

Once they have a hold of the defenceless prey, the 'arms' will take turns alternating between keeping the prey in place (unless the creature dares to expose its eyestalks again, this is the only way it can make sure the food is still there) and taking small pieces of flesh with its sharp, crustacean-esque 'claws', back to its own fungal body, simultaneously feeding itself and fertilizing the fungi that surrounds it. Over time, and with regular applications of the paralytic spores, the Spore Breather will slowly but completely strip animals of edible matter down to the bone. One was reported to have lived off the meat of an already dead adult male deer for nearly 3 months, in which the individual who owned the land stated 'I wasn't planning to hang its skull on my wall, but I saw no reason not to after seeing that there was no need to clean the skeleton whatsoever! I couldn't have done a cleaner job of it myself.'

Although this creature is relatively harmless to human beings, some caution is advised regardless, due to inhalation of the spores causing short spells of dizziness in young adults, and symptoms of muscle stiffness in children that last anywhere from 2-5 days. Trail-walkers are also advised to watch their step in any unmapped areas, as the camouflaged creatures may be difficult to see in concentrated woodland. This warrants the danger of stepping on a rare gathering of the creatures, releasing a significantly larger number of spores into the air, the effect of which is so far undocumented.
