My recent vacation that i spent was with my family, we were 10 in total, including my niece and nephews, it was also the first time i visited boracay, it was extremely fun, there was a crucial part in our hotel where it hosted fire dances during the night. we stayed in a 5 star hotel, the place seemed clean, the air conditioner was really cold, the bathroom was vastly huge and it had two beds and one soft couch. The most memorable thing that happened to me during my vacation in Boracay was when i was jet-skiing, going to the banana boat, the ufo thing, and drinking with my sibilings during the night, it was a really fun moment, i had to savor all of it because it doesn't last forever, also the other memorable thing was holding my nephew because he was afraid of the sand, no one ever understood why and probably because of the texture it gets stuck between your feet, i kind of understand the frustration of it. i feel like i should've spent my summer vacation on drinking more than just laying down in bed during the night, it was fun the first time i tried so it felt like it was worth it doing it one more time, but besides drinking, i feel like i could've spent more with my family, with my sibilings, trying to regain that spark back when we were kids. Although Boracay is a nice place, i feel myself going through summer vacation in Italy, i used to be so homesick about it back then, but i feel like it could happen because i'm about to renew my permit to go there, and the person i wanna take there has to be my dad so that we get to see my sibilings once again and my niece and nephews, not just that but for me i get to see my childhood friends as well so it's a win-win situation for me, and i feel like i am able to go to Italy in the future, not today but probably soon, so it is possible for me to go to my summer vacation.

I spent my last summer in my room. A bit boring, I know. But I like it that way, I think. Sure, I didn't go sightseeing or swimming, but sometimes those things arent all theyre hyped up to be. Theres comfort in stability, and what could be more comfortable than home?

I got to enjoy my mom's home cooking. The warmth of my bed, that little spot on it where its a bit sunken in from my body weight, where I fit just right and it feels like a hug. I'm more of an indoors person, so I probably wouldve gotten tired of a beach pretty quick. Still, I do have thoughts sometimes that maybe I couldve done something else.

I guess I sort of wish I went out a bit more, little things, like eating out or seeing a movie with friends, maybe. But still, I'm grateful for what I had. I got to play videogames with my friends, watch movies by myself, maybe a documentary or video essay or two. Thats a personal guilty pleasure of mine.

One day, I think I'd like to go to Australia. I have a friend there I'd like to meet one day. He introduced me to a lot of philosphers and authors I've been engrossed in, and the views are nice.

One of my most memorable summer vacations was in Baguio, a lovely city in the Philippines. I went there with my family when I was ten, and we stayed in a small cabin surrounded by tall pine trees. It was my first time visiting Baguio, and I was amazed by the green hills and fresh air. The colorful flowers at Burnham Park and the busy markets were really fun to see. Being there felt refreshing, and I enjoyed exploring the beautiful places while feeling the cool breeze.

The best memories from my vacation in Baguio include witnessing the Panagbenga Festival and seeing TV artists like Bea Alonzo in the parade. The colorful floats and lively performances filled the streets with excitement and joy. However, one thing I didn’t like was how hard it was to move because of the crowd. It made it challenging to find a good spot to enjoy the parade and sometimes felt overwhelming. Despite that, the fun moments and the beautiful sights made the trip worthwhile.

If I could relive that summer vacation in Baguio, I would plan to visit less crowded places to enjoy the beauty in peace. I would also like to spend more time exploring nearby attractions, like the the botanical garden. Additionally, I’d try to learn a bit more about the local culture and history by joining a guided tour.

As for my dream summer vacation is to see the Northern Lights in the Netherlands. I've always been fascinated by the stunning colors of the aurora borealis, and I think it would be magical to witness them in person. It has been my dream since I was little. I would love to take my close friends with me, as sharing such a beautiful experience would make it even more special. I imagine we'd spend our days exploring the charming towns and cycling through the countryside, then at night, we’d gather to watch the lights dance across the sky while playing our favorite songs on spotify. I believe I could go on this dream vacation in the future, because I’m determined to save up and plan the trip.

"Tired yet? No way!"

I spent my most memorable and most recent vacation with my family. It was in Ilocos. Ilocos Norte and Sur, had very welcoming people, smooth roads, and breathtaking seasides. The drive we took to get there was really arduous. When we got there the drive didn't really matter anymore as all of those hardships were immediately washed away. Besides why sleep when you have an entire adventure waiting for you?

We stayed in multiple hotels. The first hotel being really chilly as it contrasted the hot noon air outside and matching the luxurious exterior, the interior of the hotel was breathtaking which was coupled with a strong smell of coffee in the air as they also had a cafe in the ground floor. For the second hotel I really liked their atmosphere, the overall feels it gave me was that they were stationed near a beach with their tropical trees, cold gushing wind and greenery planted. It felt home-y in a way and really welcoming because of how comforting and quiet the air was. The good things I remembered were, the food, the rooms, and the entire experience. I didn't dislike anything at all in our entire trip, I enjoyed it a lot.

As the good things were the Sand Dunes especially! Although my own hair kept flying on my own face, it was the enjoyable part of our trip. We may have gotten lost on the way to it but that was immediately washed off as we rode the ups and downs of the gigantic-sloped sand dunes with the sand truck. It was like a really, really, really fun roller coaster minus the puking. The sand boarding was so fun too! Although, funny part is where this girl tumbled down the sand hill because she's somehow let go of the sandboard, hopefully she was alright.

I wouldn't wanna change anything in this vacation, it was perfect being the way it wasn't planned all throughout.

My dream summer vacation? I never thought about it. I only hope to go somewhere that snows, have great food, and maybe take the closest people to my heart to go with me. I would want to engage in a snowball fight, ice skating, and maybe even skiing. I think I'll be able to go for my dream summer vacation, since I happen to save quickly and who knows I might have a high paying job by then :p.

Heading to the southern part of Luzon, where some of the most beautiful beaches of the Philippines are found. Bordered by various cities of Bicol Region and the largest ocean to the east, known for its rich culture and outstanding physical views, spanning generations of history. A first time experience for me and my family, the place was mesmerizing and the beach was calming, refreshing and peaceful. You can hear the dashing waves of the crystal clear waters.

As we arrived at the resort on the other island of the city, we were greeted by friendly staff members who assisted us. We had a tour guide on the island who showed us around and even took us up toward the mountain where the lighthouse was located. Furthermore, there were iguanas everywhere. At the lake, we could also go canoeing.

If I could relive that experience, I would definitely relocate to a different location of the rest house we stayed in. due to the fact that our rest house was situated on the bottom part of the mountain near the beach while the buffet was located on top of the mountain and to get there we had to climb a marathon of stairs.

My dream summer vacation would be in Xiamen, China, a city in Fujian Province. That is because I wanna see and experience a new type of vacation that I would normally decline to attend to. Additionally, I've heard so much about the place, Knowing that Xiamen is known for having the finest tea in china. I also did some research and overlooked the city’s wonders and it captivated me into wanting to go there.

I’m honored to be here today to share with you my most memorable summer vacation. It was a momentous occasion when my relatives from America came home to the Philippines after 14 long years. It was a reunion that we had been looking forward for a very long time, and it was a time that I will never forget.

We rented a nice place for a couple of weeks where our extended families stayed together. As my cousins arrived, we all greeted them in the driveway. We spent the first few days catching up on old times, sharing stories, laughing, joking, and reminiscing about the past. The next days we went out, playing games, we have night swimming, we even stayed late nights playing games, singing karaoke and watching horror movies and other fun stuffs. One of the highlights of the reunion was when we went on a road trip to Tagaytay, where we enjoyed the breathtaking view of Taal Lake and indulged in some delicious delicacies of Tagaytay, and we all had so much fun. We took lots of family photos together that we will cherish forever.

As I reflect on this unforgettable summer, I realize how precious and fleeting these moments of togetherness can be. The reunion taught me the value of family connections and the importance of nurturing relationships despite the miles and years that may separate us. It reminded me to treasure the simple joys—shared meals, laughter, and storytelling—that create the fabric of our shared history. Moving forward, I am committed to staying connected with my cousins and ensuring that our bond remains strong. This summer vacation was not just about fun and games; it was about rekindling relationships and creating memories that will sustain us until we meet again.

My dream summer vacation would be another unforgettable family reunion, but this time, I would love for all of us to travel together to Palawan. I choose Palawan because of its breathtaking beaches, crystal-clear waters, and stunning natural landscapes. I want to take my entire extended family, just like our last reunion, so we can create more cherished memories while exploring one of the most beautiful places in the country. We would go island hopping, snorkel in the vibrant coral reefs, visit the Underground River, and relax by the beach while watching the sunset. I believe this dream vacation is possible in the future if we plan ahead and set aside time for it, just like we did for our last reunion. No matter where we go, as long as I am with my family, the experience will always be meaningful and unforgettable.

Travel is not an area of my experience, but summer vacation with that memory stays the most marvelous among the others. It was eight summers ago when I had the opportunity to travel to Manila and Tagaytay with my mom, her friend, and my best friend. It was a rare trip for us and so, memorable. Tagaytay's air was pleasantly cool, I could almost lick it. What a pretty view it had of Taal Lake and the volcano. The best part was spending time seeing new places together with my mom and friends. Although Manila and Tagaytay are some of the favorite places to visit, they really stood out for me because they were the only places I had visited during summer vacations. What I didn't like was pizza with massive pies, which lacked the zest. But honestly, it was not bad it was a 7 out of 10 for me.

If I could do it again, I'd make it even better. My brother wasn't born yet, so I'd take him along to enjoy those places too.

My dream vacation is Japan. I've always wanted to go with my family because I love the beautiful places, culture, and food there. I just imagine exploring Japan, but it's hard right now because my family doesn't have much money. My mom's job isn't very stable, and I understand that. Someday, I hope to make this dream come true.

On my recent vacation, I traveled alone from the Philippines to Dubai, UAE, to be with my mother. Although it wasn’t my first visit, this trip was special as I planned to stay there for good. The city's vibrant culture and friendly people made me feel at home. The Burj Khalifa and other stunning buildings added to the charm. Being with my family, especially my mom, made the experience unforgettable.

One of the best things about my vacation was spending time with my mom. Everything went smoothly and was enjoyable because I love the culture and how they value and respect women in the Middle East. The atmosphere in Dubai is welcoming, and the kindness of the people makes it even better. I disliked nothing about the trip, it was perfect in every way. Being there felt like a dream come true.

If I were to relive that particular summer vacation, I wouldn't change anything. I learned so much from that time and loved every moment, even with some struggles. Those challenges helped me grow and appreciate the experience even more. With determination and planning, I know it's possible to make my dream come true.

The sea is waving at me, dancing to its own rhythm, its shore whispering a melody that feels like music to the soul. It’s mesmerizing to capture in photographs—the clouds, the sun, and the ocean coming together to paint a breathtaking scene.

I still remember, the cold breeze passes through my hair and my cardigan enveloped me. I looked at the sky, and saw the clouds begging to cry. I went to the fence and looked over to see the shore. The old lady owner, saw us and said, "malakas po ang alon, sarado po." The excitement the rushes on me suddenly become like I was torned by a barbed wire. We've travel for more than an hour to go to Pambuhan, Quezon. But, when I almost thought it's over, the old lady allow us to see the shore and walk through her ocean blue resort called "Mercedes Resort". Though we cannot feel the waves lingering through our bodies, the wind and sound of waves are enough. I enjoy it just capturing memories, the braid of the tangled horizon of our family memories that makes it more special.

But even how many photographs we've captured, it is my heart that beats thedrowning laughter and fondest talks with my family that stays. The camera cannot capture it's true beauty.

If I could live out of these waters, I would like to spend the day dipping to the sea. I'll let the horizons of waves paddle me and swim through the indigo blue where it meets the shore. I know, when I come back to that place, I'll still be drown not by its waves but by it's beauty. And if its the ocean's mesmerization I'll get drown to, I wouldn't even bother to paddle.

Any vacation is special, but for me it is a vacation spent with family. A place where you can sit and gather around, listen to the tune of nature while humming to the melody of how life can be special if you spend it by just following the winds of laughters and capturing by your eyes to memories of your heart. It is whom your with, that makes the trip less bumpy.

Niña Isabelle Asi

My Escapade

Last April, I enjoyed the sun-kissed shores of Puerto Galera with my friends Maezie, Crystal, and Patrick. We made our annual trip during Holy Week, a tradition we've kept since 2021. Each year, we rent a cozy lodging house close to the beach, where the sound of the waves helps us relax. This time was particularly special because we were entertained by performances from artists like December Avenue and Lily, filling our nights with music and laughter. The beauty of the beach, with its clear waters and soft sands, gave me a sense of peace.

The beach, with its white sand and crystal-clear waters, felt like paradise, inviting us to unwind. Each day was enjoyable, especially with the delicious fruit shakes from local restaurants that kept us refreshed in the heat. However, I noticed that last year’s surge in crowds made things a bit uncomfortable; it seemed like everyone wanted to escape to this tropical spot. The atmosphere felt different from 2021, as high demand led to inflated prices. Despite these minor frustrations, the memories we created together overshadowed any annoyances, reminding me that friendship and adventure are what truly matter.

If I could relive that summer vacation, I would look for a budget-friendly lodging that felt more like a home base. A villa with a communal kitchen would allow us to prepare our own meals, saving money for more activities. We could have spent our evenings enjoying homemade dinners instead of rushing to eat at expensive restaurants. This would give us more time to explore local markets and find souvenirs that truly represented our experience. Also, the focus would shift from where we stayed to the memories we made together.

Looking ahead, I can already picture the vibrant streets of London filled with life and history. I’m excited about walking through iconic markets, trying street food, and soaking in the culture. I look forward to sharing laughter with my family as we explore and take photos to capture our experiences. Each landmark we visit will tell a story, making this dream vacation a journey of discovery and bonding.

"Waves of Memories"

The salty breeze, the rhythmic crash of waves, and the laughter of my family made my Christmas vacation at Palm Beach Resort truly unforgettable. The excitement began even before the trip—my mom and I spent days searching for the perfect swimwear, making the anticipation even sweeter. Stepping onto the soft, sun-kissed sand felt like stepping into a dream, the resort’s peaceful atmosphere wrapping around me like a warm embrace. It was my first time visiting, or rather, my first time experiencing an actual resort, which made every moment feel even more magical. Surrounded by nature’s beauty and the company of my loved ones, I finally felt at peace, far from the worries of daily life.

The best part of the trip was reconnecting with family, some of whom I hadn’t seen in ages. Laughter echoed along the shore as we shared stories, indulged in the resort’s delicious food, and soaked in the beauty of the beach. That first night, a soothing massage in our room melted away my stress, making me feel lighter than the sea breeze. Yet, in the back of my mind, the weight of my upcoming competition lingered, nudging me with guilt for taking a break. I wished I had allowed myself to fully embrace the moment, to let the ocean wash away my worries—but even with that, the trip remained a much-needed escape.

If I could turn back time and relive that summer vacation, I would do things differently. I would let go of the nagging thoughts of work and competition and fully immerse myself in the present—the warmth of the sun, the lull of the waves, the laughter of my family. Instead of staying within the familiar comforts of the resort, I would push myself to explore, to wander beyond the shoreline, to try new water adventures without hesitation. Maybe I was too shy before, but next time, I’d step out of my comfort zone. And of course, I’d capture more moments—not just in photos, but in words, so I could relive the magic long after the tides had changed.

For my dream vacation, I would love to escape to Anilao Beach, a place close to my grandmother’s heart and just a short trip from her home. There’s something special about taking her somewhere familiar—where the waves whisper old memories and the salty breeze carries a sense of home. With my family by my side, we could soak in the stunning scenery, let the ocean lull us into serenity, and maybe even dive beneath the surface to glimpse the vibrant marine life. Fresh seafood, golden sunsets, and the warmth of loved ones—what more could I ask for? And the best part? This dream isn’t far-fetched. With a little planning (and some convincing), I just might make it happen.

As the warm breeze and radiant rays of sun blankets the foliage around my habitat, I know myself it is summer time. Unlike summers from the past few years, this one is special and quite out of town not because I went somewhere beyond the Philippines but we hop on a historical trip with my Belgian bestfriend, Victoria Vandervennet. Going to Taal, the place where my heart to childhood feels so close and alive was monumental because finally after leaving the trails of history for two years, I am back but this time with the people I love the most. Nothing really changed in Taal, It is still that town that holds so much mystery, as if its historical past is still alive. Though I feel odd walking on the cobbled pathway knowing , it is the same trail where our abusers once stepped. Who knows how many unsettled souls still lurks around it.

Cobbled Pathways, Marble stairs, Well-preserved ancestral houses, sunken church, museums and good food are what usually defines Taal and probably this is what Victoria sees but more than that, more than those lavish strcutures, the best thing that is embossed in me is the nostalgia it gives. The feeling of walking on the town with my Inay while I happily slurp on my Ice candy as we admire the undying beauty of the tapestry of nationalism, craftsmanship and our cruel history flashed back. Those cold mornings where I hop the motorcycle of my Tatay and stroll around Taal to buy that fragrant bread of Salt and that pansit wrapped in banana leaf hidden in the heart of the market so we can fill our stomachs with simple yet savory delight. As I look back to my childhood, a burst of pain strucked me that I cannot accept. The feeling of all this happy and light moments will and will just be a memory.

How I wish I can return to my hometown. The town didn’t change and all this time I thought it did but when I returned, I have realized. It is not the place, it is me who changed. It is not that bad to fantasize of meeting a genie in a bottle or a palayok to make it very “Taal” wherein the creature offers me 3 wishes. Out of all those three wishes, for sure, I’ll wish to live in Taal three more times. On that three lifetime, I would reconnect back to my roots, to places I call cornelia street, or Maligaya St., and to people who helped me see Taal as a town of colors and not a graveyard of the past.

I never regretted going back to Taal. That trip with Victoria filled my lips with smile and my heart with memories to cherish. It is just how I wish i haved fixed everything, the pain of relocation before I go back to the place I felt comfort for the first time so when the time ticks of returning, nostalgia doesn’t, doesn’t kill the child memories inside me that I thirst so much. Taal will always be my dream vacation. Taal is better and much more colorful if I explore it again with the people I have spent Taal with before- family. Maybe, just maybe, I can slurp an Ice candy as I walk in Taal once again.

Golden Yesterdays of Boracay

Boracay, with its picture-perfect beaches and sky that seemed to stretch over the horizon, had always been the summer destination of my dreams. Those dreams were made true when I first went there with my mom, sister and aunt—four souls seeking a break from the rhythm of everyday life. Boracay was not just a summer vacation, though; it was a celebration—a gift for my sister and I for our shared birthday, a symbolic escape to reconnect, laugh, and breathe. We had arrived in the island with hearts full of anticipation and Boracay did not disappoint—it was magical.

Our days in Boracay unfolded like a series of picture books, each one more stunning than the last. Puka Beach was one of the gems we stumbled upon on, its soft, white sand stretching out in a quiet embrace. The ocean there was a brilliant blue, as if someone has dipped the world in watercolor. We snorkeled in the crystal-clear waters, discovering coral gardens and colorful fish, underwater ruins, while my aunt kept us entertained with the stories she had of her past adventures of the island. But as much as we reveled in each new sight, a sinking feeling grew in the dark corners of my mind—the looming reality that our time there was limited. It was as if the island had cast a spell on us, and the thought of returning home felt like waking up from a beautiful dream far too soon.

Looking back, there was one small hiccup in what was otherwise the perfect vacation—my appetite. I had happily indulged in way too much beef on the first day, thinking I was treating myself to something special since it was my birthday, but by the second day, my stomach was in pain. The discomfort clouded my enjoyment, leaving me to watch the vibrant around me while I clutched my belly. If I could turn back time, I would have savored the beauty of Boracay without overindulging, letting the charm of the island fill me up instead of a plate of food.

As the days came into close, the thought of leaving Boracay made my heart ache, but it also sparked something else—a sense of possibility. The trip had been everything I hoped for, and yet, I couldn't shake the feeling the feeling that our adventure was just the beginning. Mommy had always whispered about Palawan, an even more secluded paradise, and I could feel the pull of it in my bones. Next summer, I promised myself, we would leave Boracay's shores for Palawan's beauty. A new adventure, a new chapter—and this time, I would be sure to savor every moment, every bite, and every sunrise.

From Sunlit Shores to Snowy Dreams

"Floating Cottage at Calatagan, Batangas," it was the words written on the Facebook post that started my family's voyage. Summer has finally arrived, and along with it is the promise of hot golden days and cold nights with breezes from the sea. I felt overwhelmed by the sight of the floating cottages gently swaying with the rhythm of the waves.

The sun was blazing high above, seemingly touching everything its light reflected on. Like the clear waters that shimmered like liquid glass, revealing the intricate beauty of the corals just beneath the surface. I remember the scent of the salty waters that was carried by the strong winds. The water seemed to greet me with a cool embrace and our splashes of fun are nothing but playful nudges.

However, with my every moment of joy comes with the inevitable regret. For others, it might've been how we didn't spend more days out in the sea, but mine? having a silly crush on the lifeguard, and like the dumb teen I was, being distracted with trying to get his attention. Looking back, I wish I had been more present, fully taking in the beauty of everything around me and embracing the time I have with my family.

Someday, I dream of a different kind of vacation, where it is cold with snowflakes and to feel the crisp winter breeze. I dream of walking through the streets of Japan with my partner. We would go to places that are known for their steaming bowl of ramen. We might even try to do the iconic snow-breath, where even a simple exhale would be visible in the air. Hand in hand, we would make snow angels and sip on authentic matcha, cherishing the beauty of the winter. It would be a vacation full of shared moments, glances, kisses, forever etched in the corners of our hearts.

Blue vibrant sky, the sound of waves hitting our balsa, that was how one of the most memorable summer vacations of mine was spent. Calatagan Beach, giving a peaceful, vibrant, and exciting vibe as my family and I got ready to set sail, enjoy the day and what's to come of it. I was ecstatic as that was the first time I've been to Calatagan and the many ventures it would offer. The feeling of riding a Balsa to float the whole day in the ocean made me nervous and excited at the same time.

We waited for a while and a local guide came showing us a big boat with a massive table in the middle, bench on the sides, and a big deck with a barbecue grill. I learned then that we were going to spend the whole day in the ocean going to different tourist spots like starfish island, little Boracay, and Sandbar using the floating cottage, or in other words Balsa. As we set off with the Guide and the driver of the Balsa, I immediately felt the wisp of fresh air and see the most beautiful views, looking back I saw the village getting smaller and smaller, the ocean was clean too, showing off it's dark blue and green when we were somewhere deeper. Although, the first few minutes to the right I felt really woozy with how shaky the boat was, but I was able to adjust later as the views and cold air shifted my focus away from the feeling.

I honestly think that this was the best trip we had so far, the ambiance, food, scenery, activities, and especially the company made it perfect. Although I had my moments, but I don't think I would change anything either way. I had so much fun despite going home tired, but to me it was all worth it.

Despite the Calatagan trip being one perfect venture, I'd say it isn't my dream vacation. To be honest, I have always dreamed of going to a different country and seeing many different places with my family and/or friends. I have a lot of places I want to visit one of which is Japan, I hope that in the near future I would be able to visit and experience the cherry blossoms, ride a shinkansen or bullet train, check out their anime culture, as well as try out their Japanese food and onsens. The Philippines is great too and I like travelling and learning about others' culture, I can't help but compare ours to others but visiting Japan would probably be that dream vacation.

A cheerful morning in Isla Verde, where the air is filled with the sweet melodies of birds and the sight of dolphins jumping playfully in the sea, visible from the veranda of the hotel where we stayed. In February 2021, I spent a memorable summer vacation at Isla Verde with my cousins. This trip felt special, though it wasn’t my first time there. We stayed at Surface Interval, a popular hotel in Ozone, surrounded by the beauty of white-sand beaches and cozy cottages that created the perfect, peaceful getaway. Despite the pandemic, we were able to access the island by boat, thanks to our uncle. I remember feeling so grateful to be there with my cousins, sharing moments of laughter and enjoying the simple calmness and joy the place had to offer.

What made this vacation unforgettable was the time spent with wonderful, joyful people. Island hopping, scuba diving, and laughing together turned every day into an adventure. However, not everything was perfect. The reefs, once vibrant, now appeared sad and faded, and my brother got stung by a sea urchin, leaving him limping. The food was pricier, due to the island’s remote location, which made supplies scarce. There were also occasional electricity issues, but these little setbacks only added to the island's charm, making the experience even more memorable.

If I could relive that vacation, I would take more photos, especially of myself and my cousins. I would also bring snacks to avoid the high food prices and take time to appreciate the reefs more. Supporting conservation efforts would also be something I’d consider, ensuring that the sea remains vibrant for future visits. Lastly, I’d also bring a flashlight, just in case the electricity went out again, making the experience more comfortable and enjoyable.

My dream summer vacation is to visit Paris with my family. I picture us enjoying warm, fresh croissants in the morning, gazing at the Eiffel Tower. We’d explore the charming streets, taste the delicious French food, and visit iconic landmarks. The thought of diving into Parisian culture excites me. Even though it might be costly, I’m determined to make this dream come true, and I hope to experience it with my parents and brother this time.

Me and my brother were hastily woken up by my usually crass father early in the morning, it wasn't the first time he'd done this so I was hardly surprised or disoriented by it. Before I knew it we were riding on his motorcycle, with my brother seated behind Dad while I sat on his lap. I remember feeling the cold morning air as it hit my legs and face, it didn't help that the only things I wore when I was that young were white tank-tops and shorts. My father driving the motor behind me spoke about the fun me and my brother would have today, he couldn't fail to miss an opportunity to bond with his sons. The ride to Simlong was a fair distance to cover with a motorcycle, when we arrived to the place, huge boulders littered the scenery as clean fresh water flowed down the forest. We swam on on the river and clear images of it still reveal themselves on my mind, my father didn't lie that we would have fun that day. I spent so much of my energy I was barely awake in the ride home.

When I look back on this memory, I felt cool and brisk but it was never uncomfortable even once. It happened over one and half decades ago at the time, memories that last this long usually don't have any faults to it. There's a certain wonder about these kinds of experiences that make it so that they never perish inside our minds. Even when I was asked to make this essay 14 years after, my mind immediately pulled me back here to echo and reminisce on what happened.

Knowing time and how fast it can accelerate you across itself, being able to relive those childhood memories is the greatest gift you can give to any aged person. A old man tasting his mothers cooking, or entering a familiar room to which you know every inch, that nostalgic scent that hits your nose ever so gently, and looking at old photos. These things are the most difficult to be replicated by any hands.

Absence makes a heart grow fonder, and as a classic proverb would say that you don’t miss the water until the well runs dry. My father a had gift of creating memories for me and my brother and he would never let a chance for his gift to be used even slip by. Out of the many things I inherited from him, this is the only gift I truly wanted, to be able to make these kinds of memories for the people I care about the most. I hope that I would be able to do it someday for my kin too.

Hopes of Yesterday

Last year’s trip to Puerto Galera remains one of my most memorable experiences. I traveled with my family and stayed at the Hollywood Hotel, just steps away from the beach. It was our first time visiting, and also my very first boat ride, which made it more unforgettable. What truly stayed with me during my stay there was the calmness that washed over me, especially during sunset. The orange hues spread across the sky and reflected on the calm sea were nothing but truly mesmerizing. Puerto Galera enchanted me in every way—the fine white sand, the delicious local dishes, and the big waves of the ocean. It was a place that completely captivated my senses and left me with memories I’ll cherish forever.

During our trip, meeting the incredibly kind locals was one of the most unforgettable experiences. They were always eager to help, offering great recommendations for spots to explore and suggesting the best food and products the area had to offer. Their warmth and hospitality added to the charm of the place. One of my favorite moments was our morning walks by the sea. The peace and tranquility of the early hours, combined with the soft sound of the waves and the warmth of a hot chocolate in hand was perfect. While the trip was wonderful, there were a few minor downsides. Some of the food options were overpriced and didn't quite suit our tastes, which was a bit disappointing. We also experienced frequent power outages at the place we stayed, which seemed to be common in the area. Despite these small inconveniences, it was still a good one. The trip was still amazing, and the good memories far outweighed any bumps along the way.

The occasional frustrations with overpriced food or power outages didn’t lessen the overall experience—they became part of the story. It's moments like these that stick with you, the ones that add layers to the memory and make the trip feel more complete. They turn what could have been ordinary moments into something memorable. Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing—because it’s those small challenges, those little setbacks, that shaped the trip and made it even more unforgettable. Without them, it wouldn’t have been the same, and I wouldn’t have the same sense of fulfillment from the journey.

My dream destination is Bali, Indonesia. The idea of experiencing its breathtaking beauty with my family and my loved one feels like something straight out of a dream. I can already picture the days filled with adventure, from exploring lush rice terraces and temples to relaxing on pristine beaches. I’d want to stay for weeks, giving us plenty of time to immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture, try local delicacies, and enjoy the incredible natural landscapes.Bali promises to be the kind of place where memories are made and cherished forever.

Coldness and Warmth

The arrival to Tagaytay last January was a breath of fresh air, literally as well as figuratively, for that was when we came to town, and welcomed by a cool breeze. The view of Taal Volcano was stunning, and we marveled at how spectacular we felt in the face of nature. It was a day of laughter and its simple joys such as running through the Picnic Grove, sitting down to enjoy rich bulalo by the lakeside, and wandering inside the Skyranch while watching the sun set over the hills. It wasn’t just the scenery that had made the day full of warmth but of being with the people I care about. Nothing was said as the drive home was quiet, but our hearts were full with the knowledge of memories that we would make forever.

The highlight of the trip was the Taal Volcano view and the fresh, cool air that brought the world to rest. I enjoyed that I got to spend quality time with my family and we would laugh and just enjoy each other’s company. The only downside was the crowds at the most popular tourist spots, especially at lunch. Even so, the memories we’d made in Tagaytay and the beauty of Tagaytay itself were more than enough to compensate for that.

If I were to live that summer vacation over again I’d go to a couple of the quieter areas in Tagaytay to witness the calm of the place a bit more. Besides seeing the beauty of the area ourselves up close, I would also spend more time hiking or walking up the walks of nature trails. Perhaps I would also decide to spend more time there to completely unwind and not rush it. And mostly, I would have wanted to turn back and do the trip over more than once to take as many photos to remember the small moments back when it was one of the most memorable trips we’ve ever taken as a family.

I like to think that one day I will be able to visit Australia. Snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, seeing the famous landmarks of Sydney and seeing the unique wildlife sounds too exciting to me. While it may take a bit of time planning and saving, I think it’s a dream worth pursuing. The culture in Australia is just so bright, its nature is stunning, the people are an adventurous lot, it’s just so open to have tons to be explored! I would go with my closest friends because sharing these experiences would make the journey unforgettable. Having the right circumstances I’m hoping at one time they’ll allow me to get there and create memories that I will never ever forget.

Through the Chaos, I Pause

In the heart of Quezon City, where the streets hum with the chaos of jeepneys and the air grows thick with dreams, I found a prompt direction through the maze in my mind. There, my cousin and I spent most of our vacation wandering through Katipunan, weaving between cozy coffee shops and tucked-away restaurants, dreaming of belonging to the universities around us. Still, it was at the Sunken Garden, surrounded by the gentle rustling of trees, that I finally let the pulse of the city settle. In that stillness, I could almost believe that this place, with all its noise, could be home, and I could be part of it.

Amidst the serenity of the place, the contrast with the chaotic pace of the city could not have been more evident. While I tried to soak in every moment, my mind was often a step ahead, racing through all the “what’s next” that awaited me. That garden, with its open field, was a rare break from the rush, offering a chance to just be, even if the rain decided to join us unexpectedly. As we hurried to shelter, the relentless traffic outside reminded me that some things—like the pull of the future or the congestion of Manila’s streets—cannot be outrun. Still, those fleeting moments that allowed me to pause were the ones that stayed with me.

Musing on the past, I wish I had let myself get lost in reverie for a little longer to truly feel the earth beneath me, the rain against my skin, and the peace that came with simply living in the moment. My mind had been busy thinking of my next step, even though in that space, there was nothing to chase. Perhaps I could have stayed a while longer, not moving on to what came next, but letting the world unfold at its own pace. If I could turn back time, I would have embraced that calm, knowing that sometimes, the best moments are the ones you let linger.

One day, I want to find myself on a mountain trail, my lungs burning and legs aching, yet discovering peace in the quiet fractures of my mind. I want to chase the kind of exhaustion that comes from climbing higher, not from running in circles. While the summit may be the goal, with nothing but the wind and the sky stretching endlessly before me, I hope I will not feel the need to rush or prove anything. Maybe then, I’ll understand what it truly means to exist without guilt, to embrace the stillness without wondering what comes next. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll finally let myself stay in the moment, no longer as a visitor to my own life.

Fajardo, Anyah Francheska N.

"A Summer to Remember"

My most memorable summer vacation took me to the serene heart of Mindoro, where time seemed to slow down amidst towering trees and peaceful surroundings. It was a journey to my Lola’s hometown in Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro. This summer felt different, as I was surrounded by my whole family, a rare but cherished reunion that made everything unforgettable. This wasn’t my first time visiting Mindoro, but it was the first time going there with my whole family. The simplicity of the life there made me feel as if I had stepped into another world.

The best memories from my vacation in Abra were the quiet moments spent with my family, the natural beauty surrounding us, and the simplicity of life there. The peacefulness of the place allowed me to reconnect with nature, and being with my whole family was a rare and precious gift. There wasn’t much I disliked, but if I had to mention something, it would be the long, bumpy ride to get there. While it wasn’t the most comfortable journey, but the destination made it all worthwhile.

And if I were given the chance to relive that summer vacation in Abra, I would slow down even more to savor every moment with my family. One of the experience I would definitely relive is riding the carabao cart on our way to my Lola’s rice and corn field farm. I was absolutely amazed by the experience and the rhythmic pace of the cart as it slowly moved through the dirt roads, pulled by the gentle carabao.

Although it might take some time, I truly believe I can make this dream vacation come true one day. Switzerland has always been my dream destination, with its stunning mountains and charming villages. The beauty of the place feels peaceful and magical, like stepping into a dream. I can already picture myself standing on top of a mountain, surrounded by breathtaking views. And if I ever get the chance to visit Switzerland, I would want to go with my family, close friends and most especially, with my special someone. I’d love to share these incredible moments with people who love nature and adventure as much as I do. There’s so much I’d want to do, hiking, biking etc. I believe when the right time comes, I’m sure I’ll be able to experience Switzerland’s magic in person someday. I can’t wait for the day when I can finally step into this stunning place and create unforgettable memories.

Birthday of a Lifetime

The summer months have always blurred into one long, indoor haze—a montage of books, purring of cats and the quiet hum of the electric fan. No sun-drenched beaches, no thrilling adventures etched into my memory; just the gentle rhythm of daily life unfolding within four walls. So, when asked to recount a memorable vacation, I found myself reaching not for a summer memory, but for the warmth of December's glow. The most unforgettable escape I've experienced wasn't a summer getaway at all; it was the quiet intimacy of a Christmas adventure, culminating in the most special birthday celebration—a day that marked not just the passage of years, but a profound shift in my own personal landscape. It was December 27th, my eighteenth birthday, still nestled within the heart of the holiday season, and the familiar setting of our local church and mall became the stage for a deeply personal and intensely emotional milestone.

The memory of that morning's church visit, the shared quiet contemplation, added a layer of depth to the day's celebration. It wasn't just about the birthday itself, but about the journey, the still moments of reflection before the joyous outburst of the day's events. The simple act of attending church together, the shared experience of faith and community, created a powerful sense of unity and connection that would color the rest of the day. The quiet reverence of the church became a counterpoint to the vibrant energy of the mall, a thoughtful pause before the joyful celebration to come. This juxtaposition of calm and excitement heightened the overall experience, making it all the more memorable. That December day, a perfect pearl strung on the necklace of time, held within it the quiet joy of faith, the comforting warmth of family, and the thrilling promise of a future yet unwritten.

If I were to relive that particular birthday, I wouldn't change a thing. The simple act of sharing lunch at a fast-food restaurant with my mother and that special someone felt more significant than any lavish celebration could have been. The unhurried conversation, the shared laughter, the unspoken understanding – these were the true presents of the day. The familiar setting of the mall, the quiet prelude of the church murmurs, and the exultation of being surrounded by loved ones created a perfect harmony, a superb blend of quiet reflection and ecstatic celebration. The memories, even now, evoke a sense of profound contentment and gratitude, I might even argue it would become nostalgic to me in a week or two.

My ideal summer wouldn't involve conquering mountains or exploring jungles; as a simple person who prefers the comfort of indoors, my perfect escape would be a carefully curated blend of quiet pleasures. Imagine: a tranquil beach, the gentle caress of the wind on my face as I watch the sunset paint the sky in vibrant hues, the rhythm of the waves a soothing soundtrack to my favorite music. Interspersed with these peaceful moments would be the energetic joy of a friendly table tennis match, the satisfying thwack of the ping pong ball - a welcome contrast to the serenity of the beach. As cliché as it might sound, for me it isn't about opulent adventures; it’s about savoring the simpler things, the quiet moments of peace and the bursts of playful energy that truly makes me feel as though I’m not just existing, but alive. This dream is attainable, not because of its extravagance, but because it is rooted in the simple pleasures that bring me genuine happiness.

My Hong Kong Getaway

The most memorable summer vacation that I had was when my family and I went to Hong Kong to spend our vacation. We stayed at a hotel near disneyland, and we enjoyed our stay there because the staff was very kind and accomodating. During our tour in Hong Kong, we were very shocked with a lot of things in the region that we were not very familiar with. An example is their food, where we were surprised that even though Hong Kong is part of Asia most of their restaurants do not serve rice. Even though we had a problem in Hong Kong, the place was very nice and comfortable to stay in.

There are a lot of good things I love about Hong Kong, number one is their tourist spots. There a lot of places you can visit in Hong Kong and of course their most famous place where people go to is Disneyland. Another thing I like about it is the transportation system they have. Hong Kong has underground trains that helps you transport without taking a lot of your time. Although with a lot of good things in Hong Kong, there was still a problem that we faced during our visit because there was a sudden typhoon that hit Hong Kong.

The only thing I would change within our vacation in Hong Kong is if it is possible to not do our tours during that typhoon week. As much as we wanted to enjoy our stay, the typhoon that hit Hong Kong was very strong wherein we were not able to go outside that much. We even had to make sure that the rain was not that strong enough for us to head out to places.

My dream summer vacation would be going to Japan with my family, relatives, and even my friends. I have always dreamt of spending my vacation in Japan because I wish to learn the culture of that country. There are a lot of things I would love to do in Japan like eating their famous dishes, visiting mt. Fuji, and of course walking in Shibuya crossing. I can already see myself in the future crossing in Shibuya. I know to myself that I would work hard to make sure that this dream comes true. And as a part of my bucket list, I not stop until I fulfill this dream of going to Japan.

“Malapit na ba tayo? Gusto ko na po umihi na po,” I chuckled, my body lying on the entire backseat, watching the sunlight pass through the trees.

I held my hand up when my father spoke, the sun now passing through the gaps between my fingers, “Malapit na ‘nak, a few minutes nalang.”

And I smiled, hoping the sun would my hand for a while longer.

I’ve never been one for actual summer vacations. No tropics, no beaches, not even going out-of-province for a while. I’ve almost exclusively just stayed right at home, sitting at my computer and chatting with my friends daily as I had nothing else to do but stay inside. Though, if I think hard enough—there was this one summer vacation I still remember, back when I was at that hormonal age of fifteen. I was in Thailand, had just gone back to homeschooling, and it was early mid-year by then. Somewhere between the flowers of April and May. We drove at least eight hours to the tropical resort (that I can't remember the name of, unfortunately), which was a crossing and a dozen steps away from the sea; and it had also been my first time being that close to the seaside since I was six. There, they had these tall, light blue boho buildings accented with off-white, creamy in the night white lined at every possible corner and floor division. It also had this massive, wide swimming pool in the middle of it all, almost endless. Twisting and turning under every bridge and between the adventurous boulder decorations. Though in contrast, the rooms were small but that didn’t really matter to me at all. I was just excited to be outside again. It had been a long time.

Excitedly, I remember just swimming all day in that swimming pool. In those chlorinated, saline waters did I ever feel free with almost nothing to worry about. To admit a personal truth, I was wracked by heavy anxiety at that age—and being shut away from the world wasn’t exactly the best remedy for it. But as I rose to the surface for much needed breath, and dove right back in: it was home again, the impossible dream of Philippines in my shriveled palms. Of course, I was still in Thailand during the entire vacation, but it felt so much like my first ever home.

And you know? I don’t think I would change anything about it. This little bubble of summer nostalgia is good as is. I would trip on the pavement a hundred times if it meant I could dive into those waters with bruised knees a thousand times more.

There’s really no other dream than to visit this resort again, maybe with friends this time. I know in my head I'd compare a revisit to its first, but it's natural to anyway—to compare and contrast, to see the changes you've gone through as a person. I was a much different person at fifteen—but I'm still her. I see her in the way I stare out the jeepney and hold the sun in my tired hands, hoping to find the waters again.

Singapore, a country rich in history, innovations, and breathtaking buildings, a country perfect for a summer vacation. When my father was still working in Singapore, my mother and I visited him yearly during my summer break. Even if I have gone to Singapore ever since I was little, there is always something new that I discover every time we go back. Singapore is a country that is very close to my heart since I have met a lot of interesting people who changed my perspective in life for the better, and I have tried things that helped me conquer my fears. I can barely remember the first time that we went to Singapore, but I really can say that it is a country that is fast progressing and is filled with innovations that often surprise me. Singapore always felt like my second home, the lush greenery, the tall skyscrapers, the scorching hot sun, and the humid air that always leaves an unsettling feeling are the things that remind me of Singapore.

During our vacation in Singapore, I always enjoyed it when we went out to explore the city and other exciting attractions. Among all the places we went to in Singapore, my favorite was our trip to Sentosa Island, a so-called playground for all ages. On Sentosa Island, I got to experience a unique experience with the marine life in the S.E.A aquarium, the excellent artistry of wax figures in Madame Tussauds, and even the thrill of various rides in Universal Studios. Even if you visit Sentosa during the day or at night, you will still feel the undying energy that spreads throughout the island. Whether it is the calm blue waters, the palm trees that protect us from the sun, or the dazzling fireworks that color the night sky, Sentosa Island always has something to offer. The only unlikable thing during our trip to Sentosa was the lack of time to explore all the activities that were offered.

If I were to relieve this vacation, I would have savored our stay more rather than rushing to go to the next destination that we had planned. I would have spent more time exploring hidden coves, which would help me find my peace of mind. I would have also stayed more to experience the nightlife, watching Wings of Time, a night show that mixes different elements of the earth from water to fire together with new technologies; this one is also close to my heart as my dad poured out his blood sweat and tears to successfully contribute to this project.

Ever since, I have always known that I wanted to go to Paris, the City of Light. As Paris is also known as the city of love, I would love to bring my parents with me to spend quality time with them. It would be nice to sit in a café eating a croissant or even exploring different restaurants that offer a variety of pasta of different shapes and sizes. But of course, the main reason why Paris is my dream destination is because of the Eiffel Tower, which can be seen on the banks of the Seine River. One may say that it is overrated as many tourists gather daily around the Eiffel Tower and take pictures of its glistening lights during the night. But, for me, it is something that leaves me in awe whenever I look at pictures of it online, everything seems so perfectly constructed and well taken care of. A trip to Europe is undeniably not cheap, however, I am still positive that I will be able to see the beauty of Paris in the future as I know that my heart will always be in Paris.

Long Ago, Far Away

My most memorable summer vacation took place during the transitional period I had between Grade 11 and Grade 12. I spent it wih my mother and younger brother in a country overseas known as Singapore. It was my second trip there, the first being a two week stay I had eight years ago. Still, with the past history I had, traveling back felt as if I was rediscovering the country all over again. I remember being impressed with the advanced transport system, the cleaner streets, and the diversity of its culinary feats.

I recall seeing a Hawker beside the place we stayed at for the first time, it is an eatery similar to a food court with endless choices from various cultural backgrounds. My mother noticed my initial excitement and told me that all apartments had a Hawker where the residents could quickly and affordably grab their meals. A short walk outside our Hawker stood a bus stop, a sight that soon became my favorite due to the cashless and hassle-free nature of commuting. I enjoyed learning and using their public transportation system, trying out their foods. But the one place that stood out to me was Sentosa, their capital for tourist entertainment. Sentosa was where I spent my 18th birthday, on the imaginative streets of Universal Studios.

If I were to relive that summer vacation, I would take more photos and went exploring every day. I spent a month in Singapore yet there's so much more I wish I was able to see and experience. Now that I have a firm grasp of their commuting system, going back to relive that vacation oppens up so much opportunities and choices for me.

I have always dreamed of going to Disneyland with my family, especially the one in Anaheim, California. This particular park is special to me because it houses Galaxy's Edge, a place dedicated to one of my favorite franchises, Star Wars. The atmosphere in Galaxy's Edge looks exactly like the movies I cherish deep in my heart and I believe that seeing characters made to life, trying the themed food, and walking around is enough to make the perfect summer vacation. Unfortunately, this vacation seems almost impossibe to achieve financially, so I don't think I'll be able to experience this anytime soon. Even so, I have hope I'll be the one to take my family there instead, in the far future.

Waves of Paradise by Cyrus Andrei Dauz

Last summer, I found myself in a paradise called Palawan, a place where time seemed to be slow and where the waves whisper to your ears. It was a travel with just my cousins to visit our grandmother who welcomed us with warm hugs and stories of her peaceful life in that paradise. It was also my first time flying by plane and as I looked upon the window, the clouds looked like pillows floating in the endless skies. Palawan is a peaceful sanctuary filled with nature's beauty.

Every moment being there seemed to offer a new wonder. An island full of life, flourishing greeneries, sparkling waters, and colorful markets rich with the island's specialties. The salty scent of the wind and warm sunshine greeted my everyday mornings—an appetizer for the main course—the awaiting adventure ahead. The place I stayed at had no washing machine that's why I had to wash my clothes by hand. Scrubbing my clothes lead me to a deep realization—that everyday activities, even the laborious chores seemed to be more fun to do there. Unlike the crowded streets and loud roads of my hometown, Palawan is calm and a retreat. It was a place so perfect that I couldn't find a single thing to dislike.

If I could relive that summer, I would change a few things, especially the mistakes I had since I wasn't fully aware of the features of the island. Back then, I had packed the wrong outfits for my OOTD, and if I could relive that summer, I would pack the right fit. My phone was a chain pulling me away from the present moment, that's why if I could relive that summer, I would spend less time being glued to the digital world, since the laughter with my cousins was far more memorable than any screen. Next time, I'd let the island pull me in completely and control my senses.

If I were to be asked what my dream vacation would be, it would still be Palawan. in fact, I long to return, this time, alone, like a traveler seeking comfort. I dream of quiet mornings watching the sunrise and afternoons hopping from island to island, letting the sea cradle me in its arms. Alone with my thoughts, I'd find peace in every wave and self-reflection in each star above. I believe that with determination and a heart set on adventure, I'll be able to return to that paradise someday.

A few years ago, one of my memorable vacation is when my family and i went to Baguio. it was a whole different experience for me since the scenery in Baguio is much more different in here in Batangas. The weather, the culture and the foods are far different. i remember how mesmerized i am with their rich culture, i am fascinated by how they are willing to preserve the places specially those people who are part of the indigenous group. Baguio is a city that has become part of me and i knew for sure that a piece of me stays in Baguio

Every time i visit a place i don't look for its flaw because i believe that in every place i go it has its own kind of beauty even with their imperfections. One of the cherish moments i had is when we casually went to the strawberry farm where i saw different sizes of strawberries. Waking up early and feeling the cold breeze of the air is my kind of thing since i felt like i was in a different country.

if i could go back and experience it again, i wouldn't want to change anything. I am always the happiest when I'm with my family. I treasure every thing whenever i am with them because i knew that all the good things wont last forever. Those were actually the days we're happiness was undeniable. Spending more time with the locals in Baguio had made me feel connected with them and trying their foods made me feel like I'm one of them. The Photos we took is also the reason why i don't want to change it because our smiles we're genuine that time.

My dream Summer vacation is going to the beach with my family (anywhere). Enjoying the warm water and the captivating sunset would always have my heart. The feeling of just relaxing together with my family is a dream because my family has always been chaotic ( and i love it) and it is rare for them to be quiet.

Last summer, my family and I went on a vacation to Taiwan, and it was a wonderful experience. We stayed at a nice hotel, which made our trip comfortable. It was our first time visiting Taiwan, and I was amazed by how beautiful the place was. From the busy night markets to the peaceful temples, everything felt exciting and new. I felt happy and grateful to explore such a beautiful place with my family.

One of the best things I remember about our vacation in Taiwan was how friendly and welcoming the people are. Everywhere we went, people were kind and helpful, which made our trip even more enjoyable. However, one thing I didn’t like was the smell of some streets because of the Stinky tofu being sold in food stalls. The strong smell was a bit overwhelming for me, and I just didn’t like it. Aside from that, everything else about the trip was amazing, and I still had a great time exploring the beautiful places in Taiwan.

If I were to relive that summer vacation, I wouldn’t change anything because it was already a wonderful experience. Everything about the trip, from the places we visited to the time spent with my family, maybe it wasn't perfect but it was memorable. I would love to visit Taiwan again and experience the same beautiful moments all over again.

My dream summer vacation is to visit Japan, especially Mount Fuji, because I really want to see its beauty in person. I would love to go there with my future boyfriend or girlfriend so we can share the experience together. I don’t have specific activities planned, but I just want to explore, enjoy the moment, and try different foods. I know I will be able to go on this dream vacation in the future because I will save money for it. Someday, I know I will make this dream come true and have an unforgettable trip to Japan.

I was dreading the upcoming vacation. I wasn't very thrilled with the thought of vacation because I knew that most of the days, if not all, were going to be spent inside the house largely because most of the family is still busy even during the summer. I spent the whole vacation alone inside my house.

Though as the days passed, I realized that staying home wasn't so bad after all and that it also had its own fun. School is out, meaning no responsibilities. No alarms. no schedules, no to-do list, just freedom. I finally had all the time for playing games, watching movies and shows, and reading stuff that I like. Though some days did feel mundane and boring just sitting inside all the time.

If could relive that summer, I'd try picking up a new hobby like reading or crocheting and going out a bit more since I was just inside all the time. I'd also fix my sleep schedule. Although there's no school to be waking up for, I wish I had still prioritized my health since sleeping late all that time caused my skin to be very pale and unhealthy looking.

I'd like to travel to different countries in Europe one day as my vacation. Spending the vacation with loved ones, be it a friend, family, or a significant other would be nice. Europe has beautiful scenery that looks straight out of a movie that I would love to see. I also want to try many European foods since I always see it online while scrolling through social media. Of course I think I'll be able to go one day, I'm very determined to accomplish all my goals and dreams in life

Last summer, I had the most memorable vacation in Boracay with my family. We stayed at a beautiful beachfront resort, where we enjoyed the white sand and crystal-clear waters. It was my first time visiting, and I was amazed by the stunning sunsets and lively atmosphere. Walking along the shore, I felt a deep sense of relaxation and happiness. The islands beauty and vibrant energy made it a trip I will never forget.

One of the best things about the vacation was the variety of activities we got to try, like island hopping, snorkeling, and riding a banana boat. The seafood was also delicious, and I loved tasting fresh grilled fish and shrimp by the beach. At night, the island came alive with fire dancers and music, making the experience even more exciting. However, one thing I didnt like was how crowded some areas were, especially during peak hours. Despite this, the beauty of Boracay and the fun memories with my family made it an unforgettable trip.

If I were to relive that summer vacation, I would plan our trip during the off-season to avoid large crowds and fully enjoy the peaceful side of the island. I would also explore more hidden beaches and try more local dishes to experience Boracay’s culture even more. Lastly, I would take more photos and videos to capture every special moment so I could relive them even after the trip.

My dream summer vacation is to visit Palawan, specifically El Nido or Coron, because of their breathtaking lagoons, hidden beaches, and crystal-clear waters. I would love to go there with my family and closest friends to experience its natural beauty together. I want to try island hopping, kayaking, and diving to explore the stunning coral reefs and marine life. I believe I will be able to go on this dream vacation in the future if I plan and save up for it. With determination and good planning, I know that one day I will be able to experience the paradise of Palawan.

It was pretty clear for me that it was the greatest vacation of my whole life. I was so attached in Baguio City to the point that I don't want to go back home.

My most memorable summer vacation experience is definitely our trip to Ilocos Norte way back 2022. My cousins from Singapore had planned a whole tour for our entire family and rented out a vacation house we could stay comfortably in. Prior to the trip, it had been a while since we all went somewhere together so I could hardly contain my excitement. I remember my excitement outdoing my car sickness and being a bundle of giggles throughout the roadtrip. We arrived in the early morning just before the sun started rising, and to this day, I find myself reminiscing the exhilarating feeling I had felt being so far away from home just to have some fun with my beloved family. The views were breathtaking and I really didn't want to go home!

Out of all the good things that happened during that trip, the Sand Dunes were my favorite. (see attached GIF) The feeling of being on the 4x4, the seemingly soft sand that seemed to stretch for miles and miles, and the color of the sky that left me breathless. The wind was in my hair and the sun was in my eyes in the best way possible. The only thing I disliked about the trip was that we had to leave. I really wanted to go to the Sand Dunes again.

If I had the chance to relive those moments again, I would definitely make it a point to bring a good camera to capture those moments in much better quality. I'd take more pictures, and I'd burn the scenery into my memory. Other than that, I have no regrets.

My dream summer vacation would probably be spending a summer in Japan with my loved ones. As a kid, I've always admired Japanese culture and found myself wishing I could go to at least one of their summer festivals, eat authentic takoyaki and dango, and see the fireworks in a beautifully intricate yukata. If I had the chance, I'd definitely want to go to more remote areas instead of Tokyo and the populated cities. I don't know what the future might hold but I've made a vow to myself that I have to go there in this life!

I spent a memorable summer in Vigan with my family. It was my first time there, and I was amazed by the architecture of the place. We stayed near Calle Crisologo, where the Kalesa rides and the entire street made me feel like I was stepping back in time. I loved the vibe, the food (especially the empanada ang bagnet), and how everything blended history with relaxation. The experience was unforgettable.

The best part of the trip was riding in a Kalesa all the way to the church at the end of the street. The place we stayed in was relaxing yet a little creepy at night, given its old, vintage feel. Despite the eerie atmosphere, I truly enjoyed my time there. I’m definitely going back, but next time not in summer season.

If I were to relive that summer in Vigan, I’d definitely change my outfit because I didn’t expect the heat and we'll also heading to Baguio afterward.

My last vacation was on December 30 in Dasol, Pangasinan, with my family. We traveled from Mapandan, Pangasinan, and when we arrived, we had breakfast, then took a rest since the trip was long. After that, we went to a resort and rode a boat for the first time, which made me feel excited and nervous. The boat ride to Dasol Island in Tambobong was also long, but the experience was amazing. We stayed there until 5 PM before heading back home. The best things I remember about the vacation were being with my family, the nice resort, and trying a boat ride for the first time. It was fun and exciting, especially when we got to Dasol Island and enjoyed the peaceful place. The long travel was a bit tiring, but it was worth it for the great memories. I didn’t really dislike anything about the trip, but sometimes the long travel time was a bit much. Still, the fun and relaxation made everything feel worth it. If I were to relive that vacation, I would try to leave earlier to avoid the long travel time. I would also plan more activities to make the most of our time in Dasol. Maybe I would try more local food and explore other places nearby. I would also take more photos to remember the fun moments with my family. Overall, I would try to make the trip even more relaxing and enjoyable. My dream summer vacation is to go to a beautiful beach like Palawan in the Philippines. I choose this place because I love the clear water, sandy beaches, and peaceful surroundings. I would like to go with my family, so we can all enjoy the time together. I would love to swim, relax on the beach, try snorkeling, and explore the island. I think I can go on this dream vacation in the future because I am saving up and planning to make it happen when the time is right.

During that summer vacation in Laguna, everything felt peaceful and different from our usual environment in Batangas. The people there seemed indifferent to what others were doing, which made the place feel like a safe space for us. It was a private resort, offering us privacy and freedom. However, the most memorable part was not the place itself but the bond I shared with my cousins.

Everything about that vacation was enjoyable—the resort, the people I was with, and the memories we made together. There was nothing I truly disliked, except for one thing: the comfort room. It had a creepy vibe that made it unsettling, but aside from that, everything else was perfect.

If I had the chance to relive that vacation, I wouldn’t change anything. Every moment was fun, and I believe that everything happens for a reason. The memories we created were irreplaceable, and I wouldn’t want to alter any part of them.

My dream summer vacation would be in a big private resort, surrounded by my family and friends. If given the chance, I would love to visit Switzerland, as it is my dream destination. I want to experience everything with them—exploring, relaxing, and simply making memories. I believe I will be able to make this dream come true one day because it is part of my bucket list, and I am determined to pursue it.

Summer of 2022, my family and I spent my birthday at Pico De Loro Cove. The trip was originally planned for my aunt, whose birthday was a week before mine, but I like to think of it as a shared celebration. It was my first time visiting the place, and while the port itself was crowded and underwhelming, the real beauty lay beyond the shore. The sun was scorching, making me regret my choice of clothing, but my excitement grew as I saw the floating cottages; some with two floors and others painted in bright, jewel-toned colors.

Despite the heat, the moment we set sail, I felt a wave of relief. The water was crystal clear, transitioning from a bright turquoise to a deep, dark blue as we drifted farther. We swam among schools of colorful fish, enjoying the refreshing ocean. However, I quickly realized that the combination of heat, boat movement, and swimming didn’t sit well with me. My seasickness kicked in, forcing me to lie down and miss out on much of the fun.

Looking back, there are things I would have done differently. I would have taken motion sickness pills beforehand so I could fully enjoy the experience. I also wouldn’t have eaten so much right before swimming. Small changes like these could have made the trip even better, but despite everything, I still cherish the memories we made that day.

For my dream summer vacation, I’d love to visit a colder destination like Baguio or Tagaytay. I’ve spent most summers at beaches and swimming pools, so a change of scenery would be refreshing. I’d love to go with my closest friends, ride bicycles, eat strawberries, and explore new places. Since I’m nearing the legal age, I believe this dream vacation could soon become a reality. After all, I'm not one to say no to new adventures.

To explain its value chain and ecosystem, the best visual tools would be a value chain diagram, supply chain flowchart, and an ecosystem map. The value chain diagram can show key activities from cacao farming, fermentation, processing, to packaging and marketing highlighting where value is added. A supply chain flowchart can visually map the movement of raw cacao beans to finished chocolate, including logistics and distribution.

Lastly, an ecosystem map can show relationships with farmers, government agencies, NGOs, and export markets, making it easier to understand the wider impact and collaborations.

I think the Kapeng Barako has the strength of uniqueness since it originated here in Batangas City. The weakness would be that not everyone can keep up with its strong flavor. The opportunity seen in this is that cafes can add this to their menu to promote Kapeng Barako internationally so that tourists would be attracted by its unique flavor. The threat is that it might not reach the expectations of some people.

With this visual tool, consumers who are interested in making and selling this delicious product can identify what ingredients are used for it and what type of materials are used to wrap it before displaying. Moreover, the value chain diagram could also help the identify different shops that sell the product which can be beneficial information to improve the taste of the new yema product.

Next, we marinate the meat so the flavors sink in, like preparing it for a warm bath of taste. Then we simmer everything together, letting the aroma slowly fill the kitchen and invite everyone closer. After cooking, the sauce thickens and clings to the meat, giving that comforting salty-sour taste we know. Finally, Adobo is served with rice, turning an ordinary meal into a story of home and Filipino pride.

A value for the Mang inasal would detail the process from sourcing fresh, local ingredients like chicken and rice through preparations and grilling and to serve for the customers with their signature chicken Inasal and Unlimited Rice.

A Filipino product that comes to mind is the traditional barong tagalog. While not being produced by a specific brand or company, it is an important part of our heritage that is exclusive to Filipino culture. The visual tool that would best help explain its value chain and ecosystem is the supply chain flowchart. This flowchart talks about the process of production and distribution. The barong tagalog is made from natural fibers and sheer textiles. While not having a specific place of production, Lumban, Laguna is known as the "Embroidery Capital of the Philippines," and several artists are known for the creation of intricate hand-embroidered Barong Tagalog. After packaging, it is then distributed all across the Philippines. Filipinos then use it for special occasions such as weddings or events.

A good example of a Filipino product is Batangas Lomi. To explain its value chain and ecosystem, the best visual tool would be a supply chain diagram. This diagram can show how the ingredients flow from farmers (who grow vegetables, eggs, and flour for noodles) to suppliers, then to carinderias or restaurants that prepare and cook the dish. It also connects to consumers who buy and enjoy Lomi, completing the cycle of demand and supply. This visual is effective because it clearly illustrates how each step in the chain adds value to the product and keeps the ecosystem alive.

The PASALOAD is a Filipino service that assists mobile users in giving network load to others. In my opinion, the visual tool that would best explain the value chain and ecosystem of this service is the Industry Ecosystem Map because it would visually explain how this offered service is contributed to the users or consumers. It will be able to show how the service provider, company, and consumers interact with this service. Moreover, it can highlight the roles of others that make the transaction more accessible. Lastly, it would show the cycle of benefits where the company gains revenue, consumers maintain communication, and the overall network ecosystem grows stronger through shared accessibility.

I’m using Bench as an example, a popular Filipino clothing brand. :)) A value chain diagram can show how the brand designs clothes, sources fabric, manufactures products, markets them, and sells to customers. A flowchart can explain how materials move from suppliers to stores or online shops, making the process easy to follow. Infograpics can highlight the people involved, like designers, factory workers, and shoppers, in a simple visual way. A stakeholder map can show how Bench connects with suppliers, employees, customers, and the community. These tools make it easier for other people to see how the brand works and interacts with its environment.

It offers wifi, internet, digital services, and many more in the Philippines.

The best visual tool I think could be used is the Industry Ecosystem Maps because it involves the foundational aspects such as different sectors of PLDT, digital infrastructures and connections with government agencies or even partnerships to foster a sustainable digital economy. This digital ecosystem is crucial because it what helps to administrate and distribute the services PLDT provides. This services are then distributed to residential customers, companies, and even to Filipinos overseas.
