The artist is trying to use "silence" and sounds as a statement or a social commentary even with the stopwatch and music notes in the video, the sparse sounds could be meaningful and symbolic. 

What are we meant to be listening to/for? 
The feeling of anticipation from expecting music to be played when nothing was happening like how it normally would. Elements in music can be formed by different sounds, for example, the paper or things that have not been formed by the artist. 

What went through your mind as you were listening/watching? 
What he was thinking throughout the video, what his actions are/were and meant, if the sound on my technology is on or not from expectations, an abstract and symbolic meaning must be trying to be communicated through by the artist.
