- I completed a treasure hunt with my group, this was more effective as a group to ensure each task is completed correctly as we had to find multiple different things and take a picture once we found it. one improvement could be to ensure we each put the same amount of effort. one thing that went well was we was efficiently was we was able to complete
- I also took part in a army fitness boot camp which included tasks like flipping a tire as a group and taking part in a relay race which worked the most effectively when we all worked together. to improve on this for next time I will ensure that i bring the right equipment such as water
- I also took part in a group task which involved us to discover how we could survive on the moon as a group.

I frequently use a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.

Explain the activity
I buy a plastic water bottle and use it all week, refilling it in the water fountains at collage.

What went well?
What goes well is that by me not buying a new water bottle every day it contributes to reducing the plastic waste.

What would you change?
I would like to buy a metal water bottle which would save me money on buying plastic water bottles.

I don’t buy plastic bags, I use my reusable one to put my shopping in them

Explain the activity
When I go shopping and once I’ve bought my items and they if I want a bag I say no and put my shopping in my reusable bag

What went well?
It gives me a reason to not buy plastic bags as I have a reusable bag, I’ve also inspired others to do the same

What would you change?
I would like to do this all the time and make sure I don’t forget my reusable bag

During this activity, we had to create a group poster about how we can live more sustainable

What went well?
I learnt the importance of living sustainable and the long term effect of not being sustainable

Reliability

I work a part time job at McDonald’s, I always turn up on time. Every shift i ensure i am there, i never phone in sick or phone in last minute. I am reliable when it comes to doing certain jobs at work especially helping out. I often pick up a spare shift in my spare time.

For example when i am scheduled a 4pm -11pm on a Saturday, i will go to the gym after dance then go to work from the gym at around 3pm.

Work experience

I work part time, at McDonald’s i do no less than 10 hours a week.

During this time i have gained multiple skills such as, communication and time management.

Another example of work experience is that i worked part time at my stepdads shop. I contributed to the advertising and the marketing of the business i also were reliable to contact the customers. I worked here three days a week and did roughly 15 hours a week.

I also did some small work experience at a restaurant, i worked here for a couple of weeks and i was responsible for taking drink orders, and bringing the food out. I did around 10 hours a week for 3 weeks.

Motivation

I have participated in a cross-collage event, as at Christmas time there was a Christmas fair up at the other collage, where everybody was together and we took part in karaoke.

I have also received feedback on my assignments, on how they could be improved to get a better grade. By doing this i have managed to keep up to date on my work and stay motivated to reach the grade.

I will make my attendance higher, i have also handed in all of my assignments on time, and i have completed all the training at my part time job

Mentoring and support

I have helped a younger student with there collage work. I showed them how to successfully achieve a good grade on there work.

At work, i have mentored a new member of staff on how to complete there job successfully as they had had the full training but still needed some support.

During my dance class i have helped the younger students, i gave them confidence and support during there session.

Social responsibility

I have registered to vote, once i turned 18 i went onto the gov sight and registered to vote. I did this as it shows my social responsibility and opened the doors to many benefits.

I take part in charity beauty pageants where i compete and represent South Yorkshire, and i have raised over £200 for different charity’s, including young minds.

I have taken part in a collage event, such as the fundraiser colour run at collage, we ran and had powdered paint thrown at us

What is culture?

Culture is-all the ways of life including arts, beliefs and institutions of a population that are passed down from generation to generation.

For example my culture, on my fathers side i have a Caribbean heritage whereas on my mothers side it is British. Therefore i have experience of different cultures. I have grown up eating different types of cultural foods.

I have attended cultural week at collage where we got to try different things for example I got henna on my hand.

Another example is that my friend is Turkish, and we got to try some food which is from turkey, baklava.

Resilience

I have, manage to hand in all my assignments in on time, and manage to get them resubmitted, when they have been setbacks. Such as i have not got my results back straight away.

Another example where i have been resilient is my exam, the first time i did not get what i had hoped for, i am continuing to revise for my re sit an i will achieve the grade i hope.

Another example of where i have been resilient is at work, i had struggled with certain tasks therefore I have tried my best to manage to get a hang of the skills i have struggled with.

Sustainability

I bring a reusable water bottle when i go out, to fill up at water stations instead of buying a one use water bottle. This reduces the amount of waste I produce.

Another example is i have attended a sustainability class at collage to learn about how i can be more sustainable. As well as the risks of not living a sustainable lifestyle.

I use a recycling bin, i make sure i put the right products in the right bins to ensure that they get disposed of correctly to decrease the amount of waist and overall contribute to the decrease risks of global warming.
