14th Amendment. All citizens in America have the same rights. The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and just by being an American Citizen, these rights are given to you from the time you live and the time you die. These rights should never be taken from you (unless you have committed a crime or felony) because it is a mandatory thing to always have as as a US citizen.

After a lot of conflict in the United states, the country split up into two and Lincoln was the president of the north. Lincoln created the emancipation proclamation in order to free all slaves in the northern land, even quoting a line from the declaration of Independence that stated, "all men are born with rights." as well as "all men are created equal." This would prove how Lincoln is stating how America truly is one after freeing the slaves.
Synthesis: Everyone is born with rights and equality.
-AHL

He talks about how the killing of George Floyd woke a lot of Americans up to the lack of racial justice. He said that his eye opening moment was the killing of Emmett Till. That's when he really started to push forward and fight for justice for African Americans across the U.S. When he was young there was a lot of racial violence, but you still see the same things today.
Synthesis: America still struggles with racial justice, and equality for all.
-Nehemiah Jinks
