Topic: hope
Theme: always have hope for the future
Authors point of view:
I think the authors point of view is that their is always hope for the future. I think this because Katje is hoping for a better future and it all starts to happen with Rosie and then her future gets better because she is slowly being helped.
My point of view:
What I learnt from this book was that you always have to hope even if you think it's gone because Katje keeps hoping for a better future and then Rosie makes it better. Because she delivers boxes of things they don't have in Holland and it changes Katje and people in Hollands life.

Topic: friendship
Theme: friends stay together even when they are a long way part
authors point of view:
the authors point of view is showing that Friends should and can stay together through everything.
my point of view:
what I learned from this book was that you have to be courages in the worst times even if you don't have hope because friends can help you get through it all. I think friendship is a big part of this book because Monique doesn't even notice that Severine is different until Severine tells her.
