Students submitted responses through Google Classroom as an answer to a Question posted.

Think-Pair-Share

In this instance, I used think-pair-share as a pre-reading strategy, though it can be used at various points in the reading process. I gave students an initial thinking question before reading that they first answered independently. Then students responded to a peer's ideas through pairing, and lastly, we shared our observations as a class. This strategy activates prior knowledge in order to read the texts but also motivates students to read in order to be in on the conversation.
