In the civil war my job was to avoid from getting the american flag capture and gunfire. In the hard road of travel I was to save the union with the flag. After retirement was employed as a messenger at the Massachusetts State House, where in 1908 I died because of a injury in an accident that trapped my leg in a elevator.

I Got the medal of honor which is on may 23 1900 which was 40 years after i proudly served with the 54th regiment.Even though i wasent there to see this i was very happy with the result but it wasent just me all those people who sacraficed themselfs for america and god.
