The kind of lesson I have seen from science fiction is not all technology is good to have. I think that a man can handle technology until the technology is changed completely and more advanced. We are not ready for a climate change because there would be things that are hard to do. There would be no climate change if we slowly moved into changes instead of rushing into them. If computers ruled the world, computers would control what happens. The computers could use their cameras to watch us and control what we do.

Another type of science fiction I would like to be able to meet Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games because I would want to learn how to lead an uprising. Some type of science fiction I wouldn't want to see is the Upside Down from Stranger Things because demagorgans come from the Upside Down and they attack and kill people. Something else I wouldn't like to see is aliens because I wouldn't want aliens to invade and take over the world. Some lessons that science fiction teaches is that doing something small could make a big difference in what happens. Something else that science fiction addresses is that mankind isn't ready for technology that comes out way because one small misunderstanding could mean life or death. One small misunderstanding could cause life or death because for example if a person made a robot and they accidentally made one little mistake while they were coding the robot, the robot could come back and take over the world and kill people like in the movie I,Robot a scientist makes a robot and it comes back and tries to take over but people don't believe that the robot will do harm. Only one person believes that they will cause destruction and he tries to stop the robot. The robot makes an army then destroys the city.

1. There are a couple of things from science fiction that I would want to see in real life. One thing that I would want to see is a technology from the future that could heal people, and things like that. I would also want to see creatures from other planets that are really cute. I wouldn't want to see technology taking over the world, and fighting the actual humans. That would just be bad.
2. I think we can learn a lot of lessons from science fiction. One of the most common ones is can people on Earth handle some new challenges that they were never prepared for? Some challenges are things like aliens arriving, technology being able to make decisions for themselves, or maybe one nation of people thinking they are better than everyone else. Another common theme is what would happen if we discovered something new, and how would we handle it? Would we use it for good, or use it for someone's not-so-good beliefs?

An element from science fiction that I would like to see in real life would be the advanced technology in Divergent like the simulations because you could find out what your fears are and learn to face them. I would not want the elements from sci-fi such as the Hunger Games because it would be very scary to see people that you know fighting to the death, having the world divided by gender in the gender games because one gender should not be dominant, and time travel machines because if you change something in the past it could drastically change how the future is. A common theme in science fiction books/movies is people being divided by there differences and learning the moral that people should not find every way you can divide people but how you should find similarities in people. This is addressed in all the examples above Divergent, Hunger Games, and The Gender Games.

But, the cons of this idea is that dinosaurs are dangerous creatures. They can kill, which is bad for us. So it wouldn't be a great idea to bring back dinosaurs with DNA because dinosaurs cannot be contained. It's a wild thing that belongs in nature, not in containment, so a dinosaur wouldn't really work for the future.

I would like to see a car that doesn't use gasoline or fossil fuel, but uses energy from the sun or something like that. This would help the future because we are eventually going to run out of the supplies we need to get cars to running so scientists should make an eco-friendly car that doesn't need to use supplies that could quickly run out.

Also, I would like the simulations from the Divergent series to be real because then I would know my fears, and I could get over them. I would never want time machines to be real because all time travel movies have some sort of repercussions in them. Also I wouldn't want evil aliens to be real, but if they were friendly, I would be okay with making connections to other planets. I think a common theme with sci-fi is "don't interfere with reality" I think this because in most sci-fi movies/books, someone makes a monster, or builds a time machine, and it always ends badly. I think sci-fi teaches us to just let the world be, and not try to change what we know is real. I think it teaches us this by showing us all of the consequences of altering reality.

1 A science fiction technology I would like to see in real life would be FTL travel. The solar system is a relatively small place, and our expanision and future is limited by the immense distances between solar systems and stars. For all we know, earth could be the only place with life in the universe, which is a both terrifying and lonely thought. Examples from popular science fiction are: hyperdrive from Star Wars, and warp from Star Trek. A thing from the future I would hate to see would be the xenomorphs from the Alien series, because they are terrifying and would kill everything, in a bloody and R rated fashion
I would want to travel to the planet of Alderaan from Star Wars (before it done got blown up)
2
A lesson common in sci fi is that technology advancing beyond comprehension quickly is never a good idea. For example, the skynet A.I. from terminator, which was given acsess to nuclear codes, immediately killed everybody with those nukes. Also, in the Matrix, the machines immediately enslaved and killed humans, using them as a very inefective energy source.
