Soil is valuable because we use it for most of the functions we use everyday. It takes over 2000 years to remake soil so it is valuable to our society. We use it to grow our food and materials for clothing (cotton, corn) . In addition to this, soil stores water and a huge amount of biotic components that supports plant growth and is what molds our everyday life.

Soil is important for 3 reasons. First, because it holds roots that provide support for plants and stores nutrients. Second, Healthy soil is full of organisms that turn dead matter and minerals into vital plant nutrients. Lastly because we grow food on it.

Soil is valuable because if we didn't have any good soil, or soil at all, we wouldn't be able to produce everyday products such as clothing and food. Soil is a resource that can be used for many different things, it's compatible to do many other things than just grow crops. Lot's of resources on our planet are starting to get lower and lower each year, so we have to use our resources responsibly or else at some point in the future, humans won't be able to ever grow proper crops due to the bad soil.
