         <description><![CDATA[<p>The introduction of a prompt, comment, or other distraction when an interfering behavior is occurring. This is used to divert the learner’s attention from the interfering behavior which results in a reduction of that behavior.</p><p><br/></p><p>This strategy is used by getting the learner’s attention when they are engaging in the interfering behavior, redirecting them to an appropriate behavior, and then reinforcing the appropriate behavior in some way, such as a sign five or fist bump.</p>]]></description>
