However, here are some basic ideas:
-Composition notebook (non-spiral)
-Ribbon or duct tape to identify each student's notebook
-Foldables that will be inserted in the notebook

However, some suggestions would be to include Foldables. These are inserts that can be made out of paper or other materials that are folded, cut, or made how to want and go along with the lesson taught. It is creative and helps students understand and retain information better when used. The foldables can be glued right into their composition notebook. Other suggestions include:

-Maps
-KWL
-Charts
-Brainstorming
-Venn Diagrams
