To be honest, I treated the Astrobiologist more as a scientist than a profession. Man learns all his life. I think that this profession is not very popular in Poland and it is difficult to talk about it with kindergarten children. As for Astrobiology, I let my students know the website of the "Italian Astrobiology Society" (Iai-AstrobioLab), we share information and new discoveries, through research in collaborative groups. The association was founded by a team of astronomers, biologists, chemists, physicists, geneticists and doctors with the aim of increasing the basic knowledge in the field of Astrobiology. The Italian Society of Astrobiology is a scientific association of researchers and scholars united by the interest in the study of the origin, evolution, persitence and distribution of life in the universe to seek answers to questions that man has always posed. The Italian Astrobiology Society is national in character and is open to all those who share the interest in Astrobiology. I propose educational workshops both at school, with experts, and visits to the Planetarium such as Cà del Monte.

Here in Portugal we have teachers conferences every year that helps involving some Space professionals, such as Astrobiologists, to the school communities. It's called "O Espaço vai à Escola" (Space goes to school) and it is presented by Pavilhão do Conhecimento thru ESERO and ESA.

My school is in small town, so we do not have the opportunity to host scientists of that area. We can visit Festival of Science in capital where scientists prepair interesting workshops for school children. Observatory in Višnjan has telescope wich was construct by astrophysicist that pupils can observe.

We live in Shamakhy, a town in Azerbaijan where Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory is situated and we have visited the place with the students several times.A lot of scientists make researches there using giant telescopes. Different patterns, like pieces of asteroids or meteorites that fell on the territory of Azerbaijan are kept in the museum of the observatory. A Polish astronaut Miroslav Hermashevski visited our school a few years ago and talked to the students about his experience, It was a great chance for the children to meet an astronaut in real life. I don't really know if there are Azerbaijani astrobiologists but there are a lot of people here working in this field.

We have a unit on Career Education and normally traditional professions are tackled for the simple reason that in such a small country like Malta, one can hardly think of taking up a career in Astrobiology. However, being part of the EU one can easily refer to such professions and encourage students to take up similar professions overseas. I will definitely challenge my students and apart from presenting or eliciting the traditional professions, I will surely expose them with this area of study of Astrobiology.

I looked for astrobiologists in Portugal and just found Zita Martins. It is not easy to involve this scientist because my school is more than 500 km from Lisbon. Italian Society of Astrobiology (SIA) is an association of scientists who are experts in different fields. They are employed in universities and research centres along the whole country. Some of them work in the centre of Italy, near the school where I teach.
Students could find more attractive the science lessons if subject's topics are related to real-life issues or opportunities. "Is there life outside the Earth?" is a very interesting question. The hypothesis could be better inquired through questions. Students could set these questions and then interview an expert.

This is the first time for me that I have searched the net to find some Astrobiologist in Turkey. After watching the video here about gender discriminaton, It made me proud of meeting a woman's name "Betül Kaçar". She is accepted by NASA.
There are some groups or institutions. For example Turkish Astronomical Society, METU Astrobiology Community, etc.
I can invite the founder of Bursa Astronomy Club , Mr. İlhan Vardar to my classroom. I can plan a course with him.
I can also encourage my students to joın an astronomy camp that is held every year in August on Mount Uludağ, in Bursa, Turkey.
I can organize a visit to "Science Techonolgy Center" in Bursa. We can watch some simulations there and get information from the experts there.
