[ الأحزاب: 35]
Truly, Muslim men and women, believing men and women, men and women who are steadfast in their obedience, righteous men and women, patient men and women, solemn men and women, men and women who give sedekah, men and women who fast, men and women who preserve their honor, men and women who mention (the name of) Allah a lot, Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward.

2) we can cleanse the heart and soul
خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِم بِهَا وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّ صَلَاتَكَ سَكَنٌ لَّهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
Take zakat from their property, to cleanse and purify them, and pray for them. Indeed, your prayer (grows) peace of mind for them. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

3) we can achieve goodness (الأبرار) and be elevated in the eyes of God
(لَن تَنَالُوا۟ ٱلْبِرَّ حَتَّىٰ تُنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ ۚ وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِن شَىْءٍۢ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٌۭ)
You will never be able to achieve (the truth of) virtue and (perfect) devotion before you donate part of what you love. And whatever you donate, Allah knows it.

4) we can protect the soul from stinginess

5) the reward of giving sedekah and zakat will immediately be received from God and sins will be erased
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
The meaning: and ˹firmly˺ believes in the finest reward, We will facilitate for them the Way of Ease
