Perfect has different definitions depending on your perspective or what you consider perfect. So the society might not be perfect in everyone’s eyes. And you can’t change someone’s thinking just because they might think differently than you. Some people in the society might consider it perfect while others don’t because we all have different opinions and thoughts about things. I think that The Giver society can't be considered a Utopian because in a few chapters ago Jonas was having problems with his head because he had too many memories in his head that he had to loose some.
