Consider visual style of your website (i.e choice of colour palette, images, photographs, videos, logo etc),and add the tabs and menus that you consider relevant.

Create a clear plan with deadlines, setting up weekly targets of what you have to complete and what you need to achieve.

What have I done:
  • I have researched into personal websites, analysing them in a table and later a word document.
  • I then decided to look into specific creative practitioners websites and compare/analyse a few to broaden my ideas for my own site. Again detailing these steps in my table and later my  research document. 
  • Following this I researched, analysed and compared two web building sites, detailing my research in a table and later my research document.
  • I latter researched into how to create a creative site, and what steps I need to follow, analysing into my document.
  • I then concluded with my plan and a list of my references before uploading everything onto my Padlet and submitting my assignment on Teams.
What I have to do next:
Next week, I will introduce my planning, referring to the brief and creating a plan of what I need to do. I will plan my content using a table to analyse my ideas and continue to plan my site - uploading the document onto my padlet. I will then create a mindmap/moodboard on Popplet to generate my visual ideas, using images and text to communicate what I am visually wanting to create.  Following this, I will sketch out my own wesbite, and the overall plan on paper - which will be uploaded as an image or PDF onto the Padlet. I will also document and plan my weekly tasks and finally sum up my planning in a vlog video to evaluate this task and submit my work via the Teams assignment tab on Friday 12th.

What have I done:
  • I have planned my week referring and connecting to the brief, introducing what I have to do for my planning and the targets I have to complete. 
  • I then planned my menu's tabs and what is needed/essential, and adding them into the content planning table document.
  • I created my content planning document, researching and reminding myself on the content and what is need within a creative websites.
  • I then used the table to analyse and plan my ideas, on each aspect of my website, including; the pages, menus, 'about me', contact info and my portfolio/showreel.
  • Following this, I created a mindmap/moodboard on Popplet to communicate my visual ideas, using images and text that I've researched and gathered to format my ideas. These included; colour pallets, images, logos, designs and layouts.
  • I then sketched out a design plan for my website, to visually note what I am planning. Though it wasn't the best, I can still personally understand it.
  • Finally, I planned my weekly tasks and summarised my planning in a video evaluation. Before uploading everything to my padlet and submitting my work on Teams.
What I have to do next:
Next week is week 3, which means one thing... creating my website! Using Wix, I will use my desired template to create my site, with my ideas and designs altering and influencing the templates plan. I will add content - referring back to the brief, my research and planning. I will spend time creating a site that shows my personality and work ethic, as well as promoting my previous work and then submitting my work via Teams on Friday.

What have I done:
  • I have used my plans and ideas to create a fully functioning website, which promotes my previous work, includes my contact information and insights into myself. There is a portfolio and images/videos showing my work and menu tabs to each page. Everything follows the same layout, design and colour scheme and its functioning. The site is neat, clean and employs my personality.
  • I then submitted my web link to the Teams assignments tab on Friday 19th.
What I have to do next:
Next week, I will research and create an interactive page on working in the creative industry using Adobe Spark. Using headings and links I will analyse and review the routes and job roles in the industry. Following this, I will evaluate my work by creating notes and answering questions on the Microsoft form before elaborating my evaluation in a document, and finally submitting my task 4 & 5 on the relevant assignment tabs.

What have I done:
  • I have researched into my chosen career path, inserting relevant links and information that is deemed beneficial to my progression.
  • I have referred to the brief to label and title each step of the page, and researching and elaborating what I need to do to progress in my chosen career.
  • I have created a functional and interactive Abobe Spark post that connects to my personal website, denoting how I can become a director, and what steps I should undertake. 
  • I then ensured my website is fully created and functional before moving onto my evaluation.
  • I generated ideas and notes by answering the questions in the Microsoft Form, before elaborating and analysing my performance in this assignment.
  • I then submitting my work in the relevant tabs on Teams by Friday 26th - and celebrating with a glass of gin!
What I have to do next:
Next week, I will finally relax, stop feeling sorry for myself and sleep for two weeks.
