I used to go to an English speaking kindergarten and they "gave out" English name to all students that did not have one and I was given the name Joe. Fast forward, prior to moving to Canada, my family and I were travelling in America and stopped by a McDonald's for food and I saw that on the coffee machine it said Joe's (before McCafe) and hating coffee as a child, I decided I did not want to be Joe anymore and just looked through the bible until I found a name I liked.

I was originally suppose to be named Alessandra because both of my grandmothers names start and end with an "A" so they wanted to follow that tradition. One day when my mom and dad went to a bakery to pick up a few things they saw my name on a cake and they instantly fell in love with my name.

I was born with the name "Lindsay", which was given to me by my birth parents. When I was around three days old, I was placed into a foster home. Carole and Wayne were the caregivers of this foster home. Carole and Wayne fell in love with how sweet and adorable I was and decided to put in a plan to adopt me. At three years-old I was legally adopted by my parents, Carole and Wayne. At this time my parents wanted to change my name, but they realized I was too old and it wouldn't be the fairest or nicest thing to do. That said, my older brother suggested keeping my name but changing the spelling of it. That same brother proposed the idea of spelling my name as "Lyndze". From that day on the spelling of my name was changed and the rest is history! :)
