QUESTION 4:
The summoner is often referred to as a "pimp" because he will also use prostitutes to help him with his wants, and he uses them to take advantage of people
QUESTION 1:
He's very pale, on the fatter side, also kind of a cheapskate due to him being poorer, but also very festive and cheery and upbeat. Seems to be very deceiving, since he is involved with the church he is said to be greedy and corrupt as well.

Essay Response: Chaucer’s Friar:A Portrait of Immorality

I 100% agree with this essay, it is truly a sad commentary on the clergy and the views people had on religion back in the middle ages. The church was very much looked at as being corrupt, greedy, and controlling. When we look at the character of the friar in the text, he has many of these same tendencies because he is with the church and therefore his character represents what the church was thought of at that time

If it's too good, it's bad.

In the story, the Friar meets a man while on his journey who almost has the exact same motives and ideals, and profession as his self, which in turn creates a bond between the two as they travel along. As they reach the end of their journey, the Friar discovers that the man is in fact the devil himself and is trying to lure him to sell his soul to the devil in return for whatever he wants, which is why if something seems too good to be true, it most definitely is.

Just like how the Friar makes his money from some not so nice methods, Kanye can say the same himself as he sold pornography off of a laptop for sometime.
