When you work, you work to help and benefit other people through your labor. Those not willing to put in the work, slack off, or act in a way which shows that a worker is not working hard. If a worker does not put in the effort in their labor, their work does not help others which is essentially stealing from those people and even the company you work for. For example, I work for a factory that manufactures a drink and my job is to put in the right amount of sugar in to the drink. I decide one day to slack off, and as a result I put too much sugar in to the drinks. I'm essentially not only stealing from the company- because I'm slacking off against company rules- but I'm also stealing from the people who end up buying the drink. Their drinks will be filled with sugar and they would have to pay a lot of money for that drink, so I basically stole their money. There is also a right from employers to treat their workers fairly, in order to fulfill the 7th commandment. The church allows for unions to organize and take place, but the church does not allow for unions to strike or cause violence. Often when workers are envious or jealous of their bosses possessions, wages, or fortune, it leads to protest. When there is protest it can lead to even bigger sins or problems, such as violence and rioting. All in all, this whole situation was caused from workers coveting their bosses fortunes. That's how the 10th commandment comes into play in regards to labor issues- workers mentality of the bad boss, just might stem from the fact that he has all these goods. This essentially means, you shall not lie, and in the workplace it is key for both workers, and employers, to be fair and trustworthy in their relationships. This can especially be seen through contracts. When a workers signs a contract, he is giving himself away to do work for a company that will offer him a fair wage, and some benefits. When employers or authoritative figures don't follow their contract or are not fair in their contract to a worker, it's essentially breaking this trust and lying. Vice versa, if a workers was to not follow up on putting in his hardest work or showing up to work when his contract tells him to, he's breaking the trust that was made to the employer, and is also lying.
