I'd like to see more resources on other races, more specifically with Asians, since they are a large population of our school. This is especially important after the rise in anti-Asian violence in the past year

School staff should educate themselves on the topics of race and be willing to discuss topics with other teachers and students in the classroom to address social issues and acknowledge disadvantages as well as students' self-identities.

When teaching about topics like segregation and racism in American government, I think using the PBS resources would be a great benefit. The resource talks about having "tough conversations" with students. Even Though this is my 10th year in the classroom those conversations as a white teacher are not easy. It's important to understand bias, address it and have open and honest conversations with your students. The PBS resources makes doing that easy.
