Noah seems very insecure to the point of spiraling in his own self-pity/insecurity. He's easily hurt by people around him, since he riles himself up. It's very selfish of him to start rummaging through Amy's profile without her consent. His dishonesty shines through when he goes on Chatroulette and starts talking to another girl, seeming cool and casual. His demeanor completely changed and unfaced by his complete lack of respect and trust of Amy.

That is the reason why they are talking over Skype, when suddenly Amy loses her internet connection. Noah gets mad and he hacked her Facebook account to read the messages from Dylan

Characterize Noah

Noah is an insecure teenage boy. He is dishonest, because he tries to bring a better picture of himself to girls. He pretends he knows things that matter to the girls. Noah goes on his girlfriend's Facebook profile, just to check if she is cheating on him, that makes him kind of selfish because he doesn’t give her space in her personal life. He doesn’t think of her feelings, he acts too fast, because he changed her status from “in a relationship” to “single”. He ends up hurting himself, because, in the end his girlfriend wasn’t cheating, it was just her gay friend.

Summary of the short film "Noah"

The short film “Noah” is produced by Walter Woodman and Peter Cederberg. In the beginning of the short film we meet the tennageboy Noah who is sitting with his computer browsing on the internet. He has a girlfriend and they talk on skype. Noah isn’t “present” because he is browsing around on different websites. His girlfriends keep talking about his future where she wouldn’t get in the way of his plans. She hangs up on Noah and he starts to get paranoid and doesn't trust her. Later he hacks into her facebook account and thinks she is cheating on Noah with another boy. He gets so jealous that he ends up changing her relationship status to single on her profile. His girlfriend realised that he had hacked her profile and blocked him.

Do you think it’s okay to hack your girlfriend’s or boyfriend’s account just to make sure? Is it ok that Noah logs into his girlfriend's account? If you answered no - Could there be times when it is okay? If you answered yes, then why?
We think it’s wrong to hack your boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s account because it’s practically illegal. He steals her identity which is very illegal. It's wrong morally to hack anyones account because your profile is very private and the hacker can do a lot of damage by sending fake messages and posting something and pretending to be her.
There could be times where it is okay to log in or borrow someone's account. For example if your boyfriend/girlfriend gives you permission to log in on your account or you are looking at your account when you are sitting next to each other.

Noah logs in on her facebook profile, where he checks her messages, he sees that she got a message from a guy named Dylan. Noah gets jealous, and changes her status to single on facebook. The short film ends with them not talking to each other.

The film’s title is “Noah”. Why do you think the film is called that? Could it be a symbol of something? Noah from Noah's arc learns something just like Noah from the short film. He learns that you have to respect others' privacy and we can’t live our whole life through social media. Noah from Noah’s arc sails away in a boat from the deluge, and Noah from the short film, has arrived to a place without social media.

Noah means sadness. We think that the name is comforting for Noah. And that's why the short film is called Noah.

What do you think are the main themes of “Noah”? Is it primarily about teenage love and break-ups or social media? Or something else?

The whole short film takes place on Noah's computer and phone. It's also about how you can easily misunderstand each other on social media, and the bad sides of social media, we see that in the film when “Noah” goes into his girlfriend's facebook and changes her page from taken to single and they break up because of that. The other main theme is teenage love and break-ups, since he face-times with his girlfriend and after she leaves the call he overthinks the situation, and it ends up in a breakup and we see how he deals with that.

The film also deals with jealousy since the only reason they break up is because he gets jealous of a boy, who she has been writing with. Even though they are just friends, because of miscommunication he believes that she is cheating on him and therefore thinks it is okay to pry into her things.
