I choose this artist because I find his work interesting and in depth because of the images he produces. With these rough and smooth images the focus is on the texture but I feel that Lee jeffries has made the eyes a subject to talk about as well as the whole image. How I would describe this image would be that its quite dark a its light for example his beard is very white and his hood is very dark and black showing contrast. The subject doesn’t look distressed but the image its self would make you have a great deal of sympathy for him, it’s a very textured photo.

To me the texture in his skin reminds me of rough which is what I’m looking at in this project. There isn’t much smooth in this image which I plan to do something similar in my practical work.

I went out to take a couple of photographs.I have done some smooth and some rough which went incredibly well as I have successfully done them. I've decided to take more abstract shoots because during my experimental shoots I enjoyed rough abstract work more than I enjoyed the portrait work.

What didn't go well and why?
Time keeping in my opinion didn't go so well as i was in a hurry to get some of the stuff on the criteria done.

What would I improve?
What I would improve would be my time keeping,planning and organisation.

I did rough and smooth research, research about photographer Lee jefferies. Vogue magazines for smooth and homeless people for rough. i took experimental shoots and i did secondary research on applying layers to Photoshop this was because i thought this is what i wanted to do.

Did I do more than I intended to do?
I feel as if I did more than intended to but i'm glad because i got a lot of good stuff done.

Could I have done better?
Although I got my work completed on time I think i could have came up with a lot more different and cool ideas if i gave myself enough time to do so, so yes I think I could have done better.

Planning: What planning did i do? I asked my teacher to be a model to implicate what smooth meant.

How well did you do the planning? Planning is easy for me so i think i planned my work out well.

Was there more planning you could have done? Yes i think there could have been a bit more planning i could have done so more ideas would have come up for what i wanted my final outcome to be.
