Although the canon creates many benefits for students worldwide, lack of diversity in the membership of those who elect masterpieces to be included in the canon lacks diversity leading to lack of diversity of the works included in the canon.

Source B:
The less regulated private schools show lower percentages of reading from the canon, leading to loss of knowledge of lessons and morals presented by the canon, from which it can be deduced that when left to their own resources unregulated teachers show incompetence in selection of works to study.
