         <description><![CDATA[<div>In today's interconnected, globalized world, it is essential that all students study timeless masterpieces from all cultures to assure that those students have the opportunity to learn the lessons and morals of world's cultures, and have the chance to be exposed to other cultures, therefore the canon must be enforced but must be inclusive of literary works from other cultures.<br><br>Source A:<br>Although the canon creates many benefits for students worldwide, lack of diversity in the membership of those who elect masterpieces to be included in the canon lacks diversity leading to lack of diversity of the works included in the canon.<br><br>Source B:<br>The less regulated private schools show lower percentages of reading from the canon, leading to loss of knowledge of lessons and morals presented by the canon, from which it can be deduced that when left to their own resources unregulated teachers show incompetence in selection of works to study.<br><br>Source D:&nbsp;<br>Although progress has been made to include more multicultural works on the canon as seen by some anthologies, the canon itself must be more multicultural and diverse by electing members from all of the worlds cultures.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thesis:High school students today should be in a learning environment that allows students to explore different types of literature so that they can expand their knowledge and understanding about different cultures.&nbsp;<br>Topic sentence 1: In today's society, many different types of people with different cultures are assimilating together in society and people can learn about many types of cultures through literature so theat people have a better understanding about the diverse society they live in (source d).<br>Topic sentence 2: teaching different types of literature allows for minorities to be knowledgeable about their own culture; individuality can be expressed when students can relate to the literature they are learning. (source e).<br>Topic sentence 3: Their is no diversity within the standard aks in literature, which means that the students are not exposed to different types of literature that are important in the understanding of different cultures (source b).</div>]]></description>
