         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>What is the long-term value of a college degree? Provide examples.<br><br></div><div><br>Some long term values of a college degree could be more job opportunities which will provide more money making options. lets say you have a high level degree in psychology you could the become a very good therapist in a good money making situation, and if you don't want to be a therapist you can be a psychology teacher, or in many other fields i don't know the name of.<br><br></div><div><br>What is the “hidden curriculum,” and how can knowing about it help you succeed in college? Provide examples.<br><br></div><div><br>The hidden curriculum is I would say some unspoken rules of college some not so secret way of doing what you do in college, some messages hidden between the lines that could really help you in the long run. like lets say its something about doing assignments there might be an unspoken rule on how to do it for that certain class in which, the hidden curriculum lies.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><br>What learning strategies are the most effective? Provide examples.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><br>I don't know many learning strategies for in most of my time I used my phone during distance learning. but one way I learn is by looking at pictures then reading the instruction and then processing it through my brain.<br><br></div><div><br>What kinds of resources and services do colleges now offer that help students’ personal development? Provide examples.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><br>one I can identify since I am mentally challenged is the dsps thing in the student center at el camino with the lab and everything that you can use during time off to study in silence and comfort with many tech options at hand.<br><br></div>]]></description>

State how you feel that you can apply the theory of Grit to your choices about your education and learning. Please provide examples.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><br>My grit score was 2.3, which I think is pretty accurate for me. i believe grit is some resilience and motivation to keep going no matter how many times you fail, somewhat like a heart of gold you could say. I could apply the theory of grit by just overall not giving a single care to my negative thoughts and just persevering through everything no matter how many negative thoughts or how many times I fail.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><br>What do you understand about your own victim and creator language and your locus of control. Can you identify things in your own life that you have control over that you could take more responsibility for to improve your success? Provide examples<br><br></div><div><br>I understand that I used to use victim language for myself before. I used to blame life for everything that happens to me and never myself, but now I am self responsible and am more aware of my emotions. my emotions have control over me&nbsp; and i can take responsibility by holding myself accountable for outbursts or and reactions i may have.<br><br></div><div><br>Are you actively choosing to make the choices of a successful student? What could you to do make more choices that align with Skip Downing’s list of choices of a successful student?<br><br></div><div><br>I make some choices of a successful student cause I only just recently became one, I just recently became more responsible and thinking more about my future. I can motivate myself more and be more responsible for assignments and working harder.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
