Reflections:

I began by reading Unit one (1) of the course materials, together with the E-tutor presentation.  I have learnt what is research and the different methods and terminology associated with the process.

This week was very progressive, despite the challenges encountered in preparing the Power Point presentation since it was my first attempt accessing and typing in the slides.  Nevertheless, with determination I was able to succeed.  Therefore, in achieving this success I also learnt something new that is power point presentation.

The week began by accessing the learning exchange which provided me with the learning materials for unit 2.  Likewise, important news and announcements from Course Coordinator and E-tutor together with postings from my peers.  It was a real eye opener for me reading all the discussions and replies together with my participation, and assistance given by Course Coordinator and E-tutor especially when I was in doubt or was not sure how to proceed.

Nevertheless, reading the materials and trying to understand the concept was very challenging because of the bulk of the materials and the time constraint due to other courses and personal commitments.  However, I learnt what is the scope and objective of a research.   The types of survey research such as Exploratory, Descriptive, Explanatory, also the difference between quantitative and qualitative methods. I have also learnt something brand new that is using Screencast-o-matic.  It was a pleasure.

My week began with accessing the News and announcement forum likewise the tutor exchange.  Information posted there by the Course Coordinator and E-tutor was very informative together with the readings and other materials presented for unit three.  I was able to read unit three and try to understand the concept of measurement and others areas.  However, it did not work out the way I wanted because my interest was to get my oral presentation done so I can start the research paper component which has to be submitted by the 23^rd.

 

It was a very challenging week, I thank the CC and the E-tutor for the guidance especially Mr. Kelly for all the help in ensuring that I choose the appropriate topic.  I had challenges with recording the oral presentation but at the end I learnt something new.  I will have to read over unit three for the weekend because all my time and energy was put into the oral presentation and the research paper.

I began my week with the usual way of seeking information via the learning exchange.  I read all postings submitted by the Course Coordinator and E-tutor which was very informative and helpful.  I learnt that surveys can be divided into two categories their uses and how they are being administered.  I appreciated the fact that we had a discussion question on the topic which enable me to understand the topic thoroughly.  

I had many challenges especially in obtaining information for the first component of my Research paper.  Especially the literature.  Challenges in putting the information together in standard form.  Likewise allotting some of my time to other assignments.  Nevertheless, I am a fighter for a just cause.
