How do you think ECE prepares children for life (or school)?

I think we early childhood educators prepares children’s for school with more knowledge in reading, writing, caring, and thinking, from my experience with my kids who went to daycare and my oldest who didn’t go to daycare, my kids who went to daycare are easier to teach about reading and writing

ECE prepares children for life by fostering Inuit qaujimajatuqangit values, and help develop their cognitive emotional, social and physical skills because we as an educator provide all the needs for these domains by organizing activities and teach them by reading a book.

We provide a good example for the child because we show them the importance of inuuqatigiittiarniq, and try our best to let them read/write/ do some fine motor skills. We always show empathy towards the children so they can understand emotional skills.

ECE prepares children for their life or school by teaching them good morals to remember for the rest of their lives such as being nice to one another even if someone isn’t being nice, or helping someone who is in need if able. For school helps a little more with being able to socialize and some familiar learning in school.

Early childhood educators are preparing before going elementary school we prepare them to practice writhing their names,practicing different kinds of colours and how to count,do some fine motor skills. And we also do some singing together or read a book together. And we also teach or talk about inuqatigitianiq and tungananiq is important to use it at work places

before they go to elementary school we teach them to be polite during circle time and we teach them about inuqatigitsianiq and piliriiqatigitsianiiq we also teach them how to write their name in Inuktitut and in English and how to write and count numbers
