Racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
Institutional Racism: is a pattern of social institutions such as governmental organizations, schools, banks, and courts of law giving negative treatment to a group of people based on their race.
Systemic Racism: policies, practices and economic and political structures which place minority racial and ethnic groups at a disadvantage in relation to an institution's racial or ethnic majority.

Racism to end. 

A message to all, I long to send. 

The colors of the world, 

All join as one. 

For the Lord is our shepherd, 

And we as his son. 

Christ made all man in the 

Likes of him. 

So please let us all, "End Racism". 

“I don’t care if you’re black, yellow, or green. I only see people as people” (Smith. 2014. pg. 315.)

This connects with my poem because it should not matter what color someone is, we should all join as one and end racism as the poem stated. 

“My purpose wasn’t to clarify race, but to blow it apart” (Smith. 2014. pg. 321.) 

This connects to my poem because we do not want to continue separating society by race, but rather end racism and realize we are all made in God’s image and we are not to be clarified by the color of our skin. We are all people and should be seen as so. We want to blow apart racism, and like the poem states, end racism.
