         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Church of England was very harsh and greedy in the medieval era they demanded at least 10% of the total earnings of the people and if they could not pay not even in goods like food, then they would not go to haven but instead to hell. </div>]]></description>

Keeping your priest happy was seen as a prerequisite to going to heaven. The relationship between people and church was essentially based on money, this means if you are wealthy you can afford to buy a higher position in the church then a non-wealthy person.</div>]]></description>

It was considered bad if you used gods name in vain or to often. The church also passed the Treason Act which made it illegal to question the churches word</div>]]></description>
