Many countries are working towards implementing a form of democracy, showing that citizens find it favorable in comparison to other governments.

It allows for most people's opinions to be heard and make sure that the government is doing what is best for the country and what most of the citizens want. Democracy also allows for more change in government as well to reflect how times and opinions change.

I believe socialist democracies or social governments often lead to better quality of life and performance. Ideally, I would choose socialist democracies over lasseiz-faire models, but representation of the people's desire is best nonetheless.

I don't think we've seen nearly all of the benefits that democracy could offer because even within the most democratic countries in the world today, there are large amounts of corruption, inequalities, and under-representation. Still, democracy connects civilians to government leaders and even citizens from other countries and is the most transparent.

I believe that a democratic government is the best "grab-all" government for countries because it has a good blanketed offer of freedoms and rights yet it is up to each country because not everyone in the world wants to same thing. However, I do believe that the full extent of what "true democracy" looks like has yet to be achieved. Corruption and inequalities are still rampant in even the most democratic societies. If some of the aforementioned problems were absent and easily solved, then a democratic government would truly be the most desirable.

I agree that democracy is the most desirable government for a country, as many countries are in the process of democratization, and therefore at some degree of democracy. This illustrates the widespread conformation that a democracy is an appealing government for both citizens and policy makers. A democratic government gives citizens the opportunity to be engaged in their govenment and country, and grants many freedoms and liberties to the citizens.

Though no system of government is perfect, democracy seems like the most desirable out of the options. That is if the country is developed enough to sustain it. But then again great civilizations only last about 200 years on average anyways so I don't think it was designed to be permanent. But what makes it most attractive is the emphasis on civil liberties, equal representation , and balance of power.

It gives individuals more freedoms as well. Although there are examples of democracies being far from all of the conditions needed to be democratic, it still has benefits.
